Cat Going Blind

Someone once said on here that we are hostages to heartbreak. I just wish I had someone to pick me up when my heart is broken.
I still have 3 cats left, but they are all 15 too, so how long they have, it won't be that long.
I know I give all my cats great lives and more love than any cat can handle and my remaining 3 will continue to do so.
I have to remember, even though it hurts so much now, i've had so many great times with them. I have the grainy videos and the pics, along with my memories and ripped furniture.0 -
Miroslav - I am so sorry - how sad for you - but how loved your cat was! I am sure she knew that, and chose to stay with you at the end, rather than going off somewhere to die, which is often a cat's instinct.
Take care of yourself x0 -
At the end she chose to cuddle into me. I'll always cherish that she trusted me enough to be there with her at the very end.0

Just a pic I wanted to post. Already done it on another thread, but just incase people didn't read the thread.

Taken a few months ago. Often cats can look cute but can be little minxes, but this one was as lovely as she looked. Never had any issues with her, she was impeccably behaved, yet none of the other four would mess with her. When the other 4 got upset with each other, she just shrugged everything off without any room for feeling sorry for herself. I have learnt alot from her.
That will be the end thenI needn't worry about her blindness again, even if I do want to tap the cardboard she loved so she'd come and sit down on it

Sorry, messed up the post above. I've somehow linked my text to the pic and can't post the pic properly without it being a link0

She was very pretty Miroslav! of course you will miss her terribly - but it will gradually get less raw... take care of yourself0

As I know only too well, sadly, having lost one in April, it does get more manageable over time, even if there are still 5 dishes and 5 litter trays out.0

Hi Miroslav
I am sorry to hear of your losses this year. I know how horrible it is to lose our little feline friends, having lost three precious kitties all in one year myself. That was a dreadful time.
You have so much to offer little kitties. Please would you consider adopting one or even better two adult kitties? The Meyhew Home (where I got my two original kitties) is always full to bursting with cats needing homes. It's not their fault they are homeless, and the slightly older ones so often get overlooked in favour of kittens. My two first cats were seven years old when they came to me, and they had always been together, and they bonded with me right away.
I hope I am not upsetting you Miroslav, that is not my intention at all. My experience tells me that giving a home to cats in need is so incredibly rewarding. I have pictures everywhere of my dear departed Henry, Tabitha and Baba and I still miss them dreadfully. But I have three additions to the household - Mitzi, Dylan and Teddy - who may well have ended up being put to sleep if they hadn't come here. That is a real comfort even though I miss my late kitties.0 -

Sorry to hear you lost 3 in one year. I certainly hope I don't make it 3 by the end of April 2010. I know they have had good lives and the odds of all 5 making at least 14.5 were slim, but we have been lucky. Until last October when they turned 14, we never had a single physical problem with any of them
We would consider getting another cat or two, but not right now. I'd love too. Even though I am financially poor, I don't spend alot on me and my cats eat and live well, it's more to do with landlord. They changed the rules, so now can't have anymore until another one passesI'd love a new friend or two, regardless of age.
No upset at all. If I could take in every cat in the world, I would. I'm glad you have the extra 3 additions now. It's 3 more cats with love and affection. I just wish they all had what our cats have0
