It's not ALL going wrong but it's not difficult to understand why it must feel like that right now. Your blind cat will do fine without its sight, I'm certain of that. What's wrong with kittythree?
You do have my sympathy, it's so hard to lose our darlings. So hard0 -
We'll keep ours fingers crossed for you. Our crazy cat has her paws crossed for you too!0

It seems the latest ill cat has cystitis. She has some antibiotics and gel. Not as bad as I thought, but she has to go back Monday if no improvement, or in 2 weeks if she does get better with a urine sample to rule out any crystals. After the year we've had, I feared the worst
The blind cat is getting more confident. She is still a joy to behold, just not one that runs around. She is spending more time out of her box that she has inherited for herself around the back of where I sit on the PC and she is being more sociable with the rest of us.
My bank balance has been hit of late though0 -
One of our cats was blind for about a year or so.
It happened quite quickly - he had a tumour.
He was an outside cat - he would still go out into the back garden when he first became blind - but one day he stopped going out altogether
We got him a litter tray - which occasionally he used to miss - as a previous poster has said their cat did.
He used to still climb on things and go upstairs - but you could see he was feeling his way really. He went everywhere slowly.
Occasionally he used to walk into walls - but not often!!
In the end the tumour started to affect his spinal cord and he was put to sleep.0 -

Sorry to hear about your cat Baileys....:(
They are both doing well thanks zippychick.
The blind cat is getting around well and aside running around, she is exactly the same cat. If any cat in the world was going to deal with this well, it is this one
The one with Cystitis has cleared up well, She has to go back in 7-10 days, but she's doing very well and has stopped licking her private areas and is sleeping well again. Hopefully she will be given the all clear.0 -
Miroslav I'm SO glad you're darlings are doing well and I suspect you're doing a bit better yourself0
