Hi Sue-UU
I'm new to this but can I join the challenge for next year. I already have a terramundi pot (had it for years) and it's starving! so this will spur me on to fill it up.SPC 2011 #758 - no target just a surprise #20 - £365 in 365 days 4/365 Olympic chal #46 - debt free by July 2012 £6739/£189390 -
Hello, bit ashamed to show myself here as I've not been on for so long, and my pot is completely empty! I had to use the money in there as we were short on the rent and had a bit of a panic about it.
But...good news...I put £1.50 in my sealed pot today! So I've started again and will keep plugging away at it til next year. I won't be posting on 1 Dec this year obviously, but will look with interest to see how all you wonderful people are doing. Thanks Sue for your encouraging PM, you are a very kind lady.Have a wonderful Sunday everyone, and to anyone living in flooded areas, all our hearts go out to you at such an awful time! :kisses3: {{{hugs to all}}}

Hmm, when I open my newly resealed pot I reckon I will have about a fiver
I did a clear out of pots in about August and took £76 out which I paid off a credit card though and I took about £17 of 10ps and coppers to Blackpool then too so I will add that onto my paltry resealed pot.
Am looking to next year here - I have purchased an el cheapo proper sealed tin (£1.49, could probably have got for cheaper but was too lazy to shop round - my I have let things slip) that I will have to take acan opener to so count me in for next year. I am excited that by the end of next years challenge I should have been debt free for several months. I feel like June/July (whenI get debt free if all goes to plan) is ages away, but then I remember how short a time ago it feels since I last started the sealed pot and turn that into how soon I will be debt free. How exciting (if a bit rambling)£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I have not done at all well this year. My plan was to not pay for car parking. Unfortunately my back has gone 3 times and I have not been able to walk up the slope to where I could park my car for free.
This means almost every piece of spare cash has not been able to go in my tin so as it's so light I will not open it this time but will certainly be up for it again next year. Mind you I've had some smiles handing over drivel to the car park attendant:D

I started my sealed pot again today
My new sealed pot that is , - a tall quite wide sponge bob square pants one lol
And to start it as i mean to go on I put in a shiny 2 pound coin , a nice looking fifty pence piece and 2 silver 20 pence pieces.
What ever change i have left at the end of each day i will think logically and pot it , where as before i was putting change in willy nilly and running short meaning i would break into the pot lol.
So hopefully this time next year it will be filled to the brim , i am not putting anything under 10 p in this pot as i have another nice looking open pot for 1s , 2s and 5,s which i keep to and havent touched all year

Sounds like a good plan to me Jess (and where did you get the Spongebob pot - I have three spongebob money boxes but they're all the small ones and I use them for any foreign currency I accumulate).
Just had a peak in to my pressie cupboard where I hide my bottle and my £2 coin tin, the bottle doesn't seem to have filled much recently but am still pleased with how much is in there! The £2 tin is feeling quite heavy but not sure how full it actually is but it won't be opened until it's full. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'd like to guess a total of £102,000 for the amount we all collect!!!!Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000
Sealed Pot Challenge 416 - target £5000 -
Christmas shopping is all done and wrapped (spent about 4 hours wrapping this afternoon)! Whatever is in my sealed tin will replenish my bank account!
I'm thinking next year of saving 50p coins in my tin. I already save £2 coins in another tin, which pays for January's 12 month car tax, so saving 50p's shouldn't be too hard, and I should remember to do it!Because it's fun to have money!
£0/£70 August GC
£68.35/£70 July GC
January-June 2019 = £356.94/£4200
