    Hey helen jelly
Apologies but I had to open the pot tonight Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
DD has a trip with Brownies in Jan that needed to be paid for tonight, I thought my Mum was paying but as she hasn't mentioned it recently she has either forgotten or doesn't have the money so as the bloomin trip is costing £55 I had to open the pot. There was £56.06 in there [lucky for Brownies but I'm gutted] so I'm starting it again from tonight with £1.06 - still hoping to hit target but unless Mum decides to pay there won't be as much in there as I was expecting oh well thats life.

No worries about opening the pot, as jacki says, as you had a sealed pot you were at least able to pay for DD's Brownie trip. And being the best Mum ever, if only for one night is always a bonus. You could always put an IOU in your pot, then if your Mum remembers or if you're feeling flush you could put it back.

Whatever you decide, it's your pot, your rules :D
