Was hoping for a NS weekend, but DS2 has come home after his first week @ school saying his shoes are too tight (we did get them at the end of May, and he is still growing...here's hoping we can find a cheap pair of size 13s, adult size that is!). That's a job for DH I think! Blummin kids! :rotfl:Good Luck with that..my mum & "big" sister are both size 3 so again, can relate to the battle ahead....

    Night night everyone

Hi all well managed to achieve 10 NSD's so far:j so very pleased with that just another 15 to go _pale_.
Should be a NSD tomorrow as the children are invited to a party tomorrow and will be having lunch there.Might go to the carboot sale in Redcar but it depends on what everyone is doing. If not a nice walk in the park.

    Good luck all!

Thanks everyone for all your comments.,

Especially BigMummaF ..... I have spent the morning looking at a few threads from the Special Occasions board..wow!!! I have so many ideas now!

As to the new school shoes, my DS2 and DH managed to find a wide fit size 12s which fitted! yippeee:j. They were £29.99, marked down from £39.99, so not too bad. :D I do hope he has stopped growing..it has been quite a hassle finding white short sleeved shirts for him (18" neck!). Everyone offers that size, but never any in stock .

Luckily the rugby-boot suppliers go all the way up to 15, I don't think he will reach that size (touches lots of wood!!). Friends of his who do have size 15 feet, reached them last year when they were 15...their parents search the internet for school shoes...and pay a fortune!!

As to the back, I have been suffering withdrawl symptoms the past few days
(had to stop one of my painkillers comepletely as it has given me an ulcer), yesterday was not nice, a bit manic! So today I am making myself "do nothing", hence this prolonged visit to the MSE site, though I do take breaks to wander down the garden and back, what a lovely day again!

This afternoon I am visiting my former neighbour who is now in a nursing home. She is 89 and really quite with it, though her body isn't doing very well, and needs help. It will do us both good having an afternoon nattering away and putting the world to right!

Tomorrow I am getting more bloods taken (probably still anaeminc) in the morning and having my first visit to a therapist (CBT) in the afternoon. She is very good, having helped my son over the past two years. I am sort of wary, but looking forward at the same time...I can tell there will be loads of tears!

Right, I feel I have "done nothing " enough, and I really must get washed and dressed! Ah, this means ironing my white trousers and top...I won't do much more...I probably wont have time, but I refuse to feel guilty. There are lots of capable hands in this house, even if they are all male!

    Bye for now

    M x

  • Keiss, I know where you're coming from with the shoes and clothes issue... OH is 6ft 7 and wears a size 14 shoes. Thankfully he has stopped growing though! Lol. Very often you can get larger sized trainers from the cheaper sports shops (Sport and Soccer or whatever) but we really struggle for shoes, and do end up using the internet... then you're looking at £50 plus!

Have you tried supermarkets for the shirts? I often get OH shirts from Sainsburys or Tesco (also 18 1/2 neck!)

No NSD yesterday, had to nuy a sandwich as didn't make one at home (did take everything else though, so only spent £2, and will be an NSD today as not going out! Was lovely and sunny while I was at work yesterday, but today its dark and miserable!

Thanks for that Sara, yes, trawled all the supermarket (or rather DH has, as I am not able to go out much), but all have not had any 18" necks in!! Had to resort to local shop which supplies school uniforms as well as men's/youth's clothing. A staggering £20 for 2 and had to order, but hadn't arrived on Friday, so hopefully next week!! Feel sort of good as supporting local independant shop, but at a price! Hopefully Asda or Tesco will have some in stock soon soon.

    Thanks again
