Some of us have found that this little fun challenge has helped curb our desires to splash the cash. With it being two thirds of the way through 2009 & that nasty assault on our wallets just 115 days from Sept 1-Dec 24th I know that I for one,must try to keep some control over my spending If this sounds familiar, read on for more details & please feel free to sign up if you fancy giving it a go....

We are here to help each other avoid spending for how-ever many days you feel appropriate to your own situation, in order to take back some control over our hard-earned money.

What you class as a 'spend' is entirely your choice; some people will try to shop on the days DD/SO etc are paid, whilst others will not include essentials such as rent. Personally, I count a spend as any time I buy something, as opposed to the unavoidable utility bills & such.

Can I change mine to 8 in September? I'm not going to manage the 7 for August, but it was only part of a month.

Really, I'd go higher, but I'm hopefully starting work in less than 2 weeks, so everything's changing and I'm not confident that when I go back to work after 11 months off I'll be able to take packed lunches every day, and things like that (I imagine I will be very tired for some time!).

Can I increase my NSD to 17 for September? I have decided to go for it and see if I can get 2 more in this month as I've reduced my grocery budget and I'm trying to plan better.
