Kid's packed lunch ideas! Help!

As the kids are getting ready to go back to school soon I've started thinking what to put in dd's lunchbox!
She's 5 and not normally particularly fussy but she just doesn't like sandwiches! Most of last term she just picked the filling out and left the bread!
I put her on school dinners for two weeks and then changed my mind after she came home 3 days in a row and told me all she'd had for lunch was tomato sauce, bread and a drink of water!! And I was going to pay £8 per week for that?! I think not!
Please help with some filling suggestions that don;t take too long to eat and this wastes valuble playing time, as she informed me regularly!!!
Thanks

How about this to start you off
Breadsticks and dips
crackers
cubes of cheese
sticks of cucumber/carrots etc
tortilla spread with a filling, rolled up and cut into pinwheels (my kids both liked that as it was bite sized)
some favourite cereal (without milk obviously)
leftover pasta meals (if she will eat it cold or put in Thermos)“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -

Thats where I got the idea of tortilla pinwheels from, simple idea but it works. My 9 year old son has gone off sandwiches again, so something bit sized and snackish works best for us.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

What about houmous with carrots, cucumber, peppers etc to dip in?0

i always use cookie/biscuit cutters and make my childrens sandwiches into shapes. not only is it talk of the lunch table , but it gets them to eat them all. i do duck , stars , hearts , cat , xmas trees etc etc. my daughter prefers marmite or jam tho in her sandwiches. my son will have anything.0

Hi
I find that lots of small things work well because as you say they don't want to be the only one munching on an apple as their friends are playing plus if they have a little bit of everything its a much more balanced meal.
So, depending of course on what she likes:
Wraps, sandwiches cut small
small sausages
cucumber, carrot or celery sticks
a few crisps or savoury rice cakes
home baked cake or muffin
small bits of fruit such as grapes or strawberries
diced cheese
breadsticks
mini quiches or pizzas (made in a bun tray)
brownies
fruit juice
little pot of hoummus (I've bought those little pots and reuse them from a bigger pot)
raisins or other dried fruit
I keep the bottom drawer of my freezer full of homemade cakes, brownies etc, reduced sausages or scotch eggs, bread rolls etc so that when I'm making the packed lunch in the evening I can just pull out a few things put in the lunch box and its defrosted by next morning. Perfect for things like frubes when on buy 1 get 1 free - it really does keep the cost down too as well as adding variety.

Why don't u ask her what she wants for her lunch instead of guessing? Sometimes they will amaze you, my two like pasta with ham or tuna. Jelly goes down nice as well as carrot sticks and cucumber. My son loves raddishes and over the summer they have both consumed endless celery sticks. You would be amazed what suggestions you get if you ask. My DD's not keen on sandwiches but likes rolls and pitta breads or cream crakers.0
