news is...
my parents have very kindly offered to get a mortgage on a house up north for us, and we effectively rent it from them.
We're up north this weekend and have been on 6 viewings today and have seen 2 which we think are promising, plenty of space to grow into with a family. Need complete re-decor as theyve obv been lived in by some oldies, but given the low prices in this area, we could potentially offer a low amount and use the additional in the budget to decorate. No major structural work and they would both be liveable whilst decor was changed, so feeling good so far
plus sickness has lessened off today so am happy with that xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -

Morning ladies.
I think you doing fantastically well SavingH!
CMD - I know you're away already, but have a fab time!!!
CAFC - Fab news about the mortgage, then it could really be your home. Lovely.
I had a lovely weekend with bf. He's been very good to me lately. I was there most of the weekend though Sunday we had a match (lost both games, but played well so quite pleased). Bf cooked for me Friday,Saturday and Sunday, saving me loads of money, and I am struggling till pay day on Friday.
Have had some good sales on amazon though so extra money coming in, but really want to put that towards s.loan.
Also had €135 for birthday from relatives, £30 cheque from a friend, £20 boots voucher and £15 Love2shop vouchers from workmates.
None of this will probably be paid off debt cos it will come useful in other ways. The euros I'll change and use to buy a proper waterproof jacket (we do a lot of walks and don't have one so will be useful), the other money will go towards other clothes, boots voucher will be used for treats for myself, and love2shop will finally get me my scanner/copier. So things are looking great at the moment and am pleased.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Yeah, my first thought usually is, how can I pay my debts off with this, and then I forget that it's nice to treat yourself, and 'treating' myself usually means getting things for myself that I do really need, but have managed to do without cos debt has been more important. Feels good when you get something just for yourself as well.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

the day to day earnings should go to the debt hun, not gifts that people give you to celebrate your birthday.
for example, if someone had bought you a walking coat as your bday present, would you stick it on ebay and use the mone from that against debt?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I know, I know, but sometimes I just have debt busting in my head... But this time I will treat myself and buy nice stuff that I need anyway. Have had good sales on amazon so when that money comes though, it'll go to s.loan.
How are we all today anyway? I didn't have a very good day yesterday, but tomorrow looks better.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
