    Well on personal news

Today was good and carp all at the same time

    the good bit

OH has been given that is GIVEN a 10 year old BMW motorbike in vgc by someone he had only met once before and we picked it up today. They also fed us and took us out to a local tourist spot!

    the carp bit

We set off on our journey and broke down on the motorway - so we are now down £182 for a new alternator even tho it had a brand new one fitted when we bought it - and we lost loads of hours of our time!

I think that is what you call a rather mixed up day! However we are all back home now safe and sound - and OH feels like xmas has come early!

cafc sounds like your OH may be about to have his lightbulb moment so today, as bad as he feels, may turn out to be a good thing.

im ok, hoping my current lack of sicky feeling continues.....

feel like we really need to make a start on packing soon, even if its just the stuff going into storage.
think i feel like i need to start doing something, have spent the best part of 4 weeks either in bed or on the sofa, and we just need to go into this new start with positive heads on.

  • Morning....

CAFC - is it time for a POA of lots of little things that you can do today that will get you ready for the big move so that you can both see a bit of progress??? I am sorry that you had a rough day with OH yesterday, do you reckon this will be his turning point??

potentially..... depends if he sticks his head in the sand about it again..... but hey must remain optimistic.

    Things I can do today:

Hoover living room and sofa (it seems to smell to me so it sets me off heaving)
Wash kitchen floor (same as above really)
Go through kitchen cupboards and pack up anything that is going to charity shop/binned
    Laundry
box up books in study room/collect up all the odd books that are lying around the house.

    Any other suggestions?
Im a bit wood for the trees really....

    ok few hours on.
ive changed the bed linen, DH has washed the puppy, we've packed up the books, i've cleared through my drawers in the bedroom and been ruthless, and packed up all the surplus bottles of things in the bathroom. We've got enough in the bottles that are open to last us till we move..... even managed to find a few bottles of things that i'd forgotten about, including a really nice room spray.

Im thinking tomorrow (if I can manage) to wrap up and address all the presents that are in the cupboard, bcause then I can take them to my mums house ready for everyone down this end of the country....

  • Well done CAFC on what you've done today, I hope you haven't over done it. Glad you are feeling up to doing a few things and that your sickness is not so bad today.
