TMD - i don't know anything about endowments so i can't help you i'm afraid. the one thing i will ask is was the endowment originally to pay off your mortgage when it finished and will you be able to pay your mortgage off if you cash it in?

    Hi

It was originally started up to pay off a mortgage but then I sold my house and moved in with OH, I kept the Endowment going, then when we moved into our house in 2005 we used the Endowment for part interest on the mortgage. OH wants a 100% repayment mortgage so then it won't be linked to a mortgage yet with my debts I don't want to pay another 11 years premiums when I could use the money now to reduce me debt and save me interest as one of my cards is £116 interest this month and I have another 6 cards.

hi tmd - some brokers will buy the endowment off you for better than the cash in value - don't rush the decision.

cmd - I didn't have an epidural - I wouldn't rush that decision as some people reckon they have long term side effects from an epidural.

Hope you are all doing okay. I have been applying for part time jobs - in the hope that I then can have spare time to do things I would rather do but still meet our essential payments

    Hi ladies!

Could do with someone else's opinion. Sold some ebay items and posted them yesterday, but the postage was quite a lot cheaper than expected.

Postage charged £5 real postage £2.89
    £1.50 £0.47

Do you think I should do a partial refund? Even if I would just give them half of the extra. Say give a pound back on the first one and 50p on the second one?

but you've got to factor in the cost of packaging materials as well hun.....
And if people werent happy to pay that, then they wouldnt bid.

Maybe give £1.50 to charity, if you feel that strongly about it, and send them an email to tell them thats what you've done....

I know they bought them so must of been happy enough to pay it, but even factoring in other stuff, I still feel it's quite steep so have given them a refund. See what happens and will learn from that.
