Morning all
about to slide off page 10 -
Good morning (no moaning;)) everybody:hello::hello::hello:
So sorry that I haven't been about much, lately - needed some 'me' time again.
To be honest, I needed to 'pull away' a little bit as some of the vitriol from the unwelcome visitors to this forum was starting to get to me.
I am pleased, however, to see that this thread continues to flourish, thanks to the efforts of the regular team of 'bumpers' and newer, but always welcome, friends. :T :T
I have had to focus my efforts towards sorting out my own future, which have, I am pleased to relate, started to bear fruit.:
True, I still trundle the highways and byways of the West Country in my badly maintained ASDA version of Postman Pat's van, in order that those who either will not, or can not, walk around a supermarket, can still get their cheap groceries and have a chance to moan at the driver.
However, I have, now, agreed to work, on a self-employed basis, with a Company which sells machinery to the same industry that I did, i.e. the Food Industry.. Hopefully this recession will not last much longer and the Industry will soon start to make some much needed investment.
Although this is a self-employed position - with a commission on sales, the company have agreed to fund my running expenses (something that the 'pittance' that I earn from the Great Green God ASDA would not allow me to do). They are like-minded people and seem a pretty decent crowd, so, hopefully, it's 'onwards and upwards' from now on.
As I will, initially at least, still have to hold down the ASDA  job, I won't, unfortunately, be able to spend as much time here as I would, ideally, like to:( - so please excuse me if I appear to be absent for long periods - I will always be here in spirit.
So keep the thread going and the Trolls  at bay.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Welcome back Asdaman (but not for much longer we hope!!!) - we still kept your seat for you! Good news on the new job, hope it takes off for you. Remember to hold on to your dreams but also bear in mind the words of John Lennon from his song "Beautiful Boy" - Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.
Happy troll busting everyone!One life - your life - live it!0 -
I meant of course "not Asdaman for much longer.." not " you won't be back for much longer!" Well, you know what I mean....oh shut up woman you are waffling again.........One life - your life - live it!0

Well done on the self employment rog but commiserations that you have to carry on working for the jolly green giant for a while longer. You were missed and I was only just asking the other day where you were - the only person missing in action is clio.
Just re-read my posting from last night and noticed that I missed half the words out:rolleyes: I think I am suffering from breakfast overdose - I went to one this morning and had to take my passport with me so that I could get past the door - breakfast in a casino, there's a new thing:eek: What surprised me is that there were people there playing slots and roulette and after speaking to the manager (she wants me to bring in business) she tells me that they have a 50p roulette table:eek: I shall now be going to a christmas party (for the first time in 3 years:eek:) that the network group are running at the casino it has cost me £22.50 and for that I get a 3 course meal and use of the training tables where no money exchanges hands (I would rather play for fun than for cash because the house always wins if you start spending real money).
Numpty - what are you doing in the front row? You can have more fun in the back row, the lights are lower there and its an ideal place for smooching:rotfl:
Best go and have a sit down - I feel out of sorts today and keep having vertigo which is very disturbing (if this vertigo is going to be a regular occurrence then I need to make an appointment to see the quack to get it investigated and get more pills - what worries me about the pills is that they are also subscribed to schizophrenics as part of a 'cure' for schizophrenia:eek:)0 -

Numpty - did you know that you get a better price for gold by taking your gold to a reputable jeweller than you will sending it off by post? Last week 9ct gold was £7 a gram in a shop and less than that using one of those postal gold places:eek:
Am still feeling a little iffy - must remember to make an appointment at the quacks.
Can't believe how incredibly mad I am - I have agreed with someone from the networking group that I am in to meet up with a rock band with a view to being their publicist:eek: I did say that I have been out of the music business for a long time (I was brought up in it) but that seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Not sure what to make of their music though other than its loud and I would call it thrash metal - they did the music for the Harley Davidson advert on tv and used worldwide by HD and yet they haven't got a publicist nor a recording contract.:rolleyes:0
