    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Even though it's Christmas Day, think we should have one of these for a new page - might be some trolls lurking even today.

9.gifTime for one of spoon's dancing santas methinks. Oops - I have just been lured into buying some fabulous red carvela boots from the kurt geiger online sale. A bargain £53.10 down from £150! It would have been criminal to click away from them :D:o

Hi all - I had a present-less Christmas yesterday as I spent it on my todd, managed to cook my chicken crown and had a huge-ish dinner followed by chicken sandwiches later and dinner today will be cold cuts and chips. Spent the day watching the telly, writing up an assignment and emiling it, tweeting, playing bejewelled blitz, washing my hair.

I am out tomorrow and will be back on Monday.

Hope you had a good time all:D

No 'Sales' for me, I'm afraid. ;)

Did go to Tesco's this afternoon, though - as we have a 'family tea' this evening. Not much reduced, other than veg. Resisted temptation to go upstairs and look at the 'Sales' stuff, but lots of people 'spending' as if money were going out of fashion. :o

Sorry I couldn't look in yesterday as we had all the family around. :o

Hope you all had a great Christmas Day - except the Trolls, but I suppose they don't celebrate it anyway.:wave:

Rog - so sorry about your cat, you get really attached to them. Hope M5/M6 weren't too awful.

The cat 'perked up' quite nicely, thanks ss - and all of you who asked after him - although he really isn't right and we will probably have to take him to the vet in the next few days as he has, now, become quite incontinent.   Still, he did get to spend his 10th birthday (Christmas Eve) with us and is eating better.

M5/M6 were bad enough, but the side roads were like skating rinks.  Have to do it all again on Tuesday, too.

Will this country never learn?
'Trundling' again tomorrow   but will look in before the New Year.
