Good morning fellow bumpers (yes, it is still morning, just checked).
Bit late checking in this morning, been to (that shop beginning with a T that I hate), got there bright and early to avoid the crowds and got stuck in the traffic coming back.:mad: IHATESHOPPINGATTHISTIMEOFYEAR.COM.

Enough whingeing now, hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine this morning.

    Back later

And I hate delivering the 'shopping' at this time of year, too. ;)

Got stuck in traffic twice yesterday, putting my whole schedule back by nearly two hours.

Needless to say I did not get a 'festive' welcome from my customers.

And am off 'trundling' again this afternoon.

    Why can't I just say no? :confused::confused:

    Morning all,

I did the breakfast meeting yesterday (yawn) and was going to do some shopping but decided against it, I needed to go to the bank and today I still need to go to the bank but I will put it off til tomorrow as I don't want to go out today:rolleyes: I topped up my phone online courtesy of my amex card (I get cashback on that card too) to the tune of £50 which should last me a while. I note my mobile phone top ups in a little book that I keep for the purpose. I discovered with my other phone - pay monthly (a wierd set up with virgin) that I have 9000 free minutes to make unlimited calls to landlines up to 22 December:cool:

No real need to do any christmas shopping - no need to get food either because the freezer is fairly full.

    Catch you later folks

Then you will be able to talk continuously for 12 and a half hours a day between now and the 22nd of December. ;)

Does that mean we won't be seeing much of you on the thread before Christmas? :rotfl:

Just a fortnight till Christmas Eve and I have finished putting up the decs and have ordered a free range turkey which we will have to have Boxing Day because I'm working Christmas Eve night and OH is on late shift Christmas Day. And somewhere between Christmas and New Year we are going to have to fit in trip to relatives who live a couple of hundred miles down the M1 so need to find a good 3 days in a row free of work commitments. So much for a relaxing Christmas break! Still, we do want to see those relatives as there is a new baby on the scene for us to inspect so it will be a good trip.
Sunny but cold today, cat in frisky mood wandering hand in hand (or paw in paw) round the garden with next door's cat. Chickens still laying most days, no sign of real moulting seen yet. Happy days!

Humph...you can go off people real quick and today rog I am off you for that comment:p

Don't know if I will bother with xmas deccies this year - I am not in the mood and it means doing a fair bit of tidying up and shifting furniture around and I can't be bothered:rolleyes: Bah Humbug!

I was in the same mood this morning Horace, but have decided this afternoon that I will get my **** in gear and put the tree up this year - didn't bother last year and it all looked a bit bare. I might feel like "bah humbug" but it feels better with the decorations up.

Nargle, if your cat continues walking paw in paw with next door's cat, you might have some little packages delivered before long .

I'm sorry Rog, ranting on about hating shopping and I forgot about you having to deliver it - you definitely have the worst bit. Hope this afternoon's trundle wasn't too bad.

Numpty, you're a bit quiet today - are you OK?

Back later, got to do some work to earn some pennies to pay for the Xmas presents I've just bought :eek::eek:

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Oh go on then.... ho ho ho merry christmas and welcome to all newbies!
