Try not to have a busy night shift Nargle.
I am working out if with lots of saving and going without if I will be able to afford a trip to strasbourg from 5 Sept to 10 Sept next year? I have been invited to the European Parliament by the local MEPs but it will cost me £490 to include all transport, hotel accommodation, breakfasts, evening meals, walking tour, boat trip, trip to winery, tips etc. I quite fancy going to be honest with you - I am thinking chocolate:cool:0 -

Salmon, with tagliatelli, was excellent, thank you, ss. Managed to keep the cats away and certainly did enjoy my glass (or two) of wine.
Washing up is done - now off to watch the Antiques Roadshow - how sad is that?
Oh, and the 'cold' has improved, thanks - I should be fit enough to 'trundle' tomorrow. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a good night all. :wave:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Watching the antiques roadshow isnt sad rog..its informative as you might just have one of those candlesticks lurking the back of your cupboard and I must admit that I would give my eye teeth for that lovely baccarat kirsh decanter:cool:0

Hi Ange
Glad you popped in. We all have times where other things in life are more important but at the very least pop in often enough for us to know you are okay - you know how we worry when one of the regulars goes quiet.
Hope everything is okay with you.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hello everyone,
Well, my PC has been playing silly beggars this evening and this is the third time I have attempted to post this, so fingers crossed it works this time....
Rog - glad you enjoyed the tagliatelli with the smoked salmon, hope it remained free of cat hairs (I well remember living with a cat, the hairs seemed to get everywhere, especially where food was involved!!!).
Glad you're feeling a bit better, amazing the restorative powers a couple of glasses of wine have!!!:j
Nothing wrong with watching the Antiques Roadshow - I watch it avidly every week hoping that something I'm hanging onto will prove valuable, sadly I'm disappointed every week!!!
And Horace, yes, I would love to own the Baccarat kirsch decanter as well, but would happily settle for those silver candlesticks!!
Angie, good to see you again. Agree with Tixy, sometimes everyday life takes over, but really hope you're OK (((hugs)) - take care.
Night all, take care.

Horace, can you get the Europe trip on expenses? If the MPs can have their snouts in the gravy trough (mixed metaphors here) then why not you?
