Good morning everyone :hello: :hello: :hello:

Got soaked to the bones on my ASDA round last night.

Virtually everybody I had to deliver to lived up unlit country lanes that, even in the summer days, are more suited to horses and carts than they are to an ASDA home delivery van. some of these lanes were more like rivers than roads.

Still - everybody got their shopping. Me, I just got soaked, windswept and moaned at for being ten minutes late to my last customer.

This morning, I have the symptoms of a very heavy cold - hope it's not the precursor to anything worse. :o

Still, looking on the bright side, as one must, I am not 'trundling' today - so far at least. :):)

Have a great day everyone.

Rog..having a split shoe is an elf and safety problem..the split could catch on the accelerator or the brake pedal whichever sole has the problem.

I agree, H - although with our 'uniform' it could probably be better described as a 'leprechaun' and safety problem. :rotfl: :rotfl:

On a serious note - I requested the new safety shoes over a month ago. My 'manager' forgot to order them - did kind of apologise - for two weeks. Then he told me that they 'could' take up to ten days to arrive (that was two weeks ago). I agree totally that they could, in their current state, be dangerous.

My employer is quick enough to quote 'Health and Safety' when it suits them - for example, they have banned us from taking drinks outside, to the staff 'smoking' area, on the grounds of 'H & S', when we all know that the real reason is that the cleaners are not paid to tidy up this area.

Methinks a little letter to our new 'People Manager' could be in the offing. ;)

Bismarck - good to see you again - welcome back. :hello: :hello:

Maybe one day I'll do a full warts and all...but for now...suffice to say that I am working very hard at tidying up a mess I made a long time ago....

If I was to put down the motivating factors behind the revival and reverse of fortunes, you guys would be up there in the mix.

Afternoon all...the sun has started to emerge and all of a sudden my soul has lifted, I hate the doom and gloomy weather.
Bismark - I am glad that you are righting wrongs and are getting there.
Rog..sorry to hear that you have the makings of a cold and for that stupid customer who shouted at you - may her buns get burnt.

Today I will be mainly resting, riting and researching
