    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    Good evening everyone

Hissing down with rain here but the forecast is much worse for the south and west. We looked on Ceefax and the weather page predicted gusts of gale forece winds up to 705 miles per hour!!!!!!!! A typo mistake methinks, seeing as gale force is only a mere hundred odd mph.......

Congratulations on hitting the big time Horace - from rock chick to rock manager, fabulous!

Hope everyone is well on this filthy autumn evening.

Sounds like battening down the hatches won't be enough for you Nargle:eek:. Maybe it will blow you all the way to somewhere warm and dry!

I think us in the middle folk are getting it from both sides Numpty - and I have to drive to meadowhell:mad: over the weekend. Otherwise I would have liked the Horace's idea of not stepping outside.

I went to Meadowhall once..and once was enough..mind if you come to Birmingham you can go to the christmas market which has come over from Frankfurt again (now I wonder how their wooden sheds are going to cope with this dreadful wind?). Here in Birmingham we have been promised winds of 50mph:eek: (best watch out for tornadoes too because we get a lot of them:eek::eek:).

I hope Wol is ok and her piggies too and that she hasnt flooded again because down that neck of the woods its going to be awful :(

    Numpty..report your guttering on Monday.

    Hello all
It's bloomin' windy here as well and raining (but that's normal for the north west!).
Nargle -705 mph winds -:eek::eek: -make sure you hold onto everything if you go outside!

Numpty - don't forget to report your guttering on Monday - you are going to get reminded about that all weekend now!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Tixy - Meadowhell :eek::eek:- poor you - don't forget your full body armour. We have the "delights" of the Trashford Centre, lit up like a b****y belisha beacon now and like a war zone from now until end of December.
I hate shopping at this time of year - actually I hate shopping full stop.
    Sorry, grumpy old woman mode....

NIght all, hope you all survive the winds and rain.

Actually the sun is shining here at the moment, and its a bit windy but nothing too bad.

Meadowhell can wait til tomorrow I've decided, in the vain hope it might be quieter. Luckily I'm not actually doing much shopping there, I'm taking my friend to hand in some job apps.

    Morning All BUMP
