I don't know how rog copes with lunatic drivers..he deserves a medal.

I think that the only medal I'll ever get, from ASDA at least, will be the DCM (Don't Come Monday). :rotfl: :rotfl:

Looking at this morning's weather, I'm beginning to see why they changed me from yesterday to today.

Going to be an interesting 'trundle'.

Anyway, have a great day (indoors) everyone.

Good morning all, windy days again. I think Rog will be driving an eco-friendly wind-powered van today.

I went to Meadowhall once years ago, but it was October not heading for Christmas, so it was quite civilised. I am about 20 miles or so from the Metro centre and at this time of year there are often queues right back on to the A1 to get in the car parks, so no way is Nargle going there this time of year! There are plenty of ways to get your Christmas shopping done without putting yourself through torture.

Oops, a pair of OH's socks are about to fly off over into next door's garden, better fix them properly on the line. Or better still, get DS to do it.......

The sun was out when I got up this morning but now it has gone and the wind is picking up again:rolleyes:

I am trying to write a 50 word advert and not succeeding:rolleyes: it needs to be submitted before Monday:eek: I also need to do a mass of housework but can't be bothered but it desperately needs doing as a photographer has invited himself round..I have repeatedly said that the place is not good for visitors or having photos taken..it has plain magnolia walls with nowt hanging on them and some lightbulbs have gone and I can't find anyone to change them for me:rolleyes: Moan, moan, moan, moan.

Only if the wind is behind me, NB :rotfl: :rotfl: Otherwise, I think that it will be the wind that drives me. ;)

Just watched a bit of the Lord Mayor's Procession on TV - seems that the rain is just about to hit London.

Didn't wait for the 'cart' though.

    Hello everyone,
I'm refusing to go outside today - not nice here at all!
Rog - good luck with the driving today, hope all goes OK.
Nargle - hope you rescued the socks OK.
Horace - oh dear, you're not having a good day (((hugs))). Hope you get the inspiration you need to write the ad.

    Take care all

Just think, Horace, when you have made your millions as a rock band promoter you will be beyond all these mundane tasks as you will have a fleet of people to do them for you.........

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Best bring the thread back on track. ;)
