Laura said it well Princess! Wonder if you have told her about your dad recently that has set things in motion i.e. why've you not known before now! Remember it's not your debt either and you're not responsible for it.

    Hugs for you too x

  • Hello all well where do I start!

I've just read the (frankly, disappointly only) two pages since my last post, you lot went all quiet!

so I was really busy at work, then on Friday I had the day off to get ready for leicester. My mum offered to pick me up so she could see my new flat but she didn't arrive till NEARLY 5PM so I missed out on having dinner with a friend that night which was annoying. They did buy me domin0es pizza to make up though :D then Sat I saw the friend for lunch instead so not all lost! Then Sat night, went to the sleep over at my other friends house, very very quiet, we barely drank anything and didn't even play I have never... It is the first time we've had a party that *cough*lame*cough grown up!! :rotfl:
Sunday did a bit of shopping had dinner with my family then Monday went to see L and her baby Jack - he is well cute but I got a bit bored after 3 hours or so :o I feel bad saying that! Sorry mums everywhere but I'm not "there" yet and it's all a bit odd to me...

So back in the Capital City now and I missed it very much! :D I miss the rain and the grey and the cold...

Right so working through the stuff you've all put - Tills congrats on finding a job as quick as you did love! Don't panic that it's not the "dream job" Just look at it as a stop gap and a way to make money till your dream job does come along. And hey you might love it :D Glad you don't have to panic any more - I was really worried about you for a while there. :p

Princess - it really is your mums debt but I understand you feel like you want to help her. Just don't burden yourself hun. If she tied the business up properly then surely she has a solicitor/bank manager that will be able to help her? Talk her through her accounts and help her that way but don't feel you have to throw money at her hun - you need to be a bit selfish on this one. Hope you're okay hun (and thanks for missing me :D)

Laura your boyf was sweet trying to make you feel better about not losing much weight. My friend that I mentioned before - she lost nothing for the first two weeks of her diet and then the weight just literally dropped off, she's now 9.5stone and she says she's never been happier - she was nearlly twice that before. Just hang in and don't be disheartened hun, we all think you're gorge anyway :D

Fuzz I want more details!! Did you see any drag queens? Or any celebs? Take it you gambled sensibly young lady ;) What was New York like? I'm so jealous :D

Really enjoying reading "We need to talk about Kevin" I got a lot of time to read it ove the weekend and now I can hardly put it down. Hope you guys find it as fascinating and can't wait to discuss it outloud with you all once everyone's had a go with it!

Hope I've not missed anything :D guys I'm so glad to be back!!

  • Hey - please don't divorce us!!
I'm trying to keep up! Work's a nightmare now we've lost so many people.
Ok - don't panic Princess. Without trying to be too coldhearted here, this mess is your mother's, and not yours. It's admirable that you want to help her, but don't sacrifice your dreams for it.
The best thing you can do is help your mum come up with some sort of payment plan - what are her ingoings, what are her outgoings etc? Does she work? Is she going to be able to pay this money back gradually. You have to accept that you can't bail her out - it's not fair to you, and chances are that she will resent you; really not a great way to affect your relationship with her. If you can help her look at her finances and come up with a way that she can make repayments, this will be much healthier for both you and her.

Don't worry, 3 hours is a marathon time with a baby. Personally (as a mum!), I can fully understand getting bored...

  • hey y'all, finally managed to control the devestation left fo me in the office:rolleyes: At least it gave me something to do, also found a new game I can become obsessed with:D Celebdaq ont he bbc website, it's like a stock market for celebs, hard to explain but if you check out the site I imagine some of you will become addicted:D

NYC - we think we saw SJP pushing a double buggy with a kid on a boogy board(think thats what u call them!) but not really the kinda place where you go 'Wow, can I have you autogrpah/pic' so left it, also she's a proper minger without her make up crew:eek: Its a great place and if I'd have gone specifically for shopping I'd have prob loved it but as it was just sightseeing it was a bit 'meh'....to me, it's london on a bigger scale so I imagine eebie/rubes/princess and all other london-lovers would be in heaven there:)
LV - amazing!! everyone should go! No drag queens or anything like that, not that I saw anyway!, just the sheer size of the buildings is amazing! We tried to walk back to our hotel, we figured it wasn't far as we could see it towering over other buildings, after an hour we gave up and got the bus:eek::eek: Totally ruins your perception of size :rotfl:
Also the shows the hotels/casinos put on out side are fab, there was a volcano at Mirage, water fountain dancing in time to music at bellagios, pirate fight at Treasure Island...and the list goes on:D

Anyways enough about me, sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it Princess but I echo what everyone else is saying, it aint your debt! Point your Mum in the right direction and leave her to it. Not easy but will have to be done for your own sanity:(
Hope everyone else is ok and Ebbs, 3hours with a baby is amazing, especially for someone who isn't right fused about the loveable $hitting machines anyway:rotfl::D
Hope alls well with everyone else and I'm just shooting off home to have my dinner now, forgot to pick it up this morning and figured a few pence in petrol is better than a fiver in the shop;):D

    Later 'gaters xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:
    [STRIKE]Car Loan = £0[/STRIKE] CCCS Total = £30,246.88 Total Debt Paid off - 32.78%
DFD [STRIKE]Nov[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Sept[/STRIKE]Aug 2018:o Only 75 payments to go:)

Well.. I'm already going away in February to Bruges but I've nearly saved up for that already.. when that's all sorted I can think of something else.

We're considering a proper holiday. I want to go somewhere sunny- so that there is the vague possibility of getting a sun tan- but not necessarily just a beach holiday 'cos I think OH would get a bit bored with that so I'm thinking somewhere with some history too..

    So far I've thought of:
    1. Rome- no beaches but lots of history
    2. Athens- ditto
    3. Venice-as above
    and that's it so far

    Anyone been anywhere good? :)

Laura I think Barcelona would be perfect for you, it has a beautiful beach, culture, history lots of nice places to eat and its not expensive to get to.
    xxxx

I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!
