Options
a bit of odd request but due to a dispute i have with Barclays and which is now in the hand of the Financial Ombudsman - i need to find out what was the best rate i would have got for a new cash ISA in september 2008 - is there a way to find this out? maybe an archive of interest rates tables?

[STRIKE]You could try this link and see if the product you are after is listed there. Do you still have the T&C paperwork which was sent when you applied, they usually include a list of current interest rates at that time?

    http://www.lloydstsb.com/rates_and_charges/non_marketed_product_rates_curr_page.asp

There is also a view previous rates tab - try that also.[/STRIKE]

Sorry miss read the post - Lloyds TSB have never been very competitive on the ISA side of things.

If you go to the ISA sticky at the top of this Isa tax free savings section and read the posts for the month of September (around post #547) you maybe able to get an idea of the rates available. as the link I posted.

If you do that it only links to current pages which are updated to current rates.

    Best guess would be 5 - 5 1/2 %

skooolmaster was doing listings here around that time, I think that this one from sept 26th 08 might have been the first one he did, but you might find an earlier one,

ed: plus this thread (linked off the 26th Sept one)

I wasn't suggesting clicking the links. If you read the post i quoted the had written the details on an Isa they were looking at. "
