Well, it would have been a NSD for me except that DD is back to school tomorrow and dyed her her BRIGHT red for the school holidays so I had to swing by Mr T's on the way home to get her back to an acceptable level. I bought an el-cheapo brand I've never heard of (she is quite looking forward to her hair going green as a result), but I'll smear it with eight tons of conditioner in a minute and hopefully it won't destroy her hair too much.0

Hi everyone, went to Mr T today for dog food (usually DH expense, he got out of that one!) and a few baby bits and also picked up a couple of decent offers as well as milk/bread/bananas.
Mostly just got baby stuff though and spent all together £24.04 from grocery budget account and used two pound coins lurking in my purse to get two saver stamps. I am saving these for xmas and just get one or two if i am there and have a couple of pound coins i might not miss that day. They are adding up and i also have £20 out of £25 worth of clubcard vouchers that i can use at face value that i am also saving for xmas, and hopefully wil have a few pounds more worth in the next quarterly statement in December. There's only me DH and now DD so we dont spend loads at xmas but do like a few treats, and is DD first birthday 30 Dec so an expensive month!
Have worked out what we have left this month after taking everything into account and not too bad a month for once (thanks to OS and GC) so im going to the bank to transfer some money into my ISA tommorow. My goal is to have £1000 saved in it by end of year. Not much i suppose by some people's standards but a hell of a lot to us!
Anyway i shall stop waffling! Batch cooked mince and mash for us tonight and apple pie and custard, yummy, yummy. Get baby in bed and chill!0 -
Evening, just logged on to catch up with thread and to update total with spends so far. Over the last few days we have spent a total of £30.73. This included some reduced vegetables that have been cooked and frozen.
Just to add, noticed today that Mr T were selling tins of various chocolates on BOGOF. £10 each, so £5 each on offer. Did not say when offer runs out but on advert in store it says "deal of the week".
Might be useful for anyone starting to plan for christmas etc..

Weight loss challenge starting 11st loss in November 4lb0 -
i will give it a go too. there are 5 of us in the family and i usually spend about £100 a week but do top up on extras in the week and if i go to M and S it is fatal. would like to bring it down but it varies from week to week. sometimes it goes over (bought stationery and stuff for school) but also reduced organic chickens to go in the freezer. do some mental meal plans each week and try to home cook things.
back to work though so may not have the energy to stick to it0 -
Apologies if this has been asked/answered already, but do people include things like toiletries/newspapers/magazines etc in their total?
I have spent £6 so far on not a lot. £2 was on sweets for the cinema last night (bought 6 bags of various sweets and put them in a big bag - it did 4 of us and I had lots for lunch today) Cheaper than the cinema prices.
I then spent £4 today on 2pts milk, some doughballs to go with dinner (cooked too long, gone rock hard), some oats (made Twinks hobnobs), a TV guide and 2 newspapers (job day...:()
I must create a signature to keep track of this!
I'll stop rambling now.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

That is entirely up to you. Some do, some don't. I haven't this month as I'm trying to reduce the amount I spend on food, but I still want to smell good :rotfl:0
