Those of you with "issues" may find the text in bold below informative - it's a sticky thread from the top of this board.
All I did was ask a question about why I would not be entitled to a benefit. I didn't ask about the rights and wrongs of it.
Nor did I ask for judgement on the way I choose to live my life or whether or not some randoms on a message board think my boyfriend is mean.
Kisses!
"This board is here for help and support for those on or looking to claim benefits, not for judgement.
Of course we all know the benefits system is a mess
Whatever your political persuasion, we're all aware the benefits system is a mess. Whether its the malpayments of tax credits on one hand, benefit fraud on the other hand, or simply the fact that sometimes it doesn't pay to work - everyone has their grumble.
This board is here to help people with their money though..
Yet that isn't what this board is for. It's here to help people find out what they are entitled to under the current system, and to help them get it. Benefits do provide a lifeline for many, and this site is here to help people with their money, and not to judge. Of course, how to illegally defraud the benefits system shouldn't be discussed here, but ensuring you're getting your entitlement is exactly what its about.
Want to discuss the benefits system? Go to the discussion board
If you want to discuss the benefits system itself and issues around it, the appropriate place isn't here but the Discussion Board and even there, please remember courtesy and not to make it personal about anyone. This site's prime purpose it to help people with their money and I will always act to protect that.
Thanks for your co-operation

child benefit is one of those every child is to benefit from .. ie its available to all that want it if u have a child that is , my DS goes into my account and out into a savings account for him .Because its his, not mine
For every parent who does that, I can find you two who spend it on getting their hair done/fags and Lambrini.
And I'm sure it's a big help to all those on big fat salaries, how would they pay the au pair without it?0 -

Angel's views are exactly what is wrong with this board and this country. Thankfully on this board there are more honest than otherwise.
I am very glad my son has not turned out like Angel. I am very proud of my son who works hard and is learning a trade that will stand him in good stead for the future. Thankfully, my son does not look to take what he can get, by fair means our foul.
It may be legal but morally it is so, so corrupt.
Yep and your son is going to be another deluded fool whos going to get used and abused by the system in return for him doing what he thinks is the ''right thing''. :rotfl::cool::rolleyes:
No matter how much you may hate how the world now is you just have to accept that thats how it is,
and then adapt accordingly.
1 of the main things that the economic crash should have taught you is that morals are absolutely and totally worthless when it comes to money!! :A
Look at what happened-
All the people who worked hard exhausting jobs, spent all their salary on getting only the bare minimum,
and went without exotic holidays, mutiple takeaways per week, flashy cars, luxury furniture and gadgets,
made repayments on their creditcards and loans,
all because they thought that they were doing the ''right thing''....,
And that they would eventually be rewarded above all the other people who took out thousands of pounds on creditcards and never ever even made 1repayment,
who went on multiple exotic 5star holidays per year on the card, filled their home with the latest gadgets and luxury modern furniture all on 'free money',
and never saved up anything as they knew the system would be there to provide for them if they ever needed.
But look what happened though....:cool::rotfl::rolleyes:
These people were viewed as the ''victims'' of the banks ''willingness to give them thousand of pounds, because they asked for it and wanted loads of stuff they they couldnt afford on thier pay-cheque''!! :rotfl::beer:
*The government raced to help these people by creating get-out-for-free schemes such as the Debt Relief Order,
which wipes your entire debt completely clean in just 1year if you dont repay it. :T
*They shell out £20,000 straight into the bank account, EVERY year, year after year after year, for EVERY person over 25 who doesnt work,
but decides to live in an expensive area in an expensive luxury flat and to have a kid.
*They rushed to lower the price of council housing all across the country to lower property prices even more and keep them nice and low.
So all the people who had savedup hard and bought instead of rented now foundout they had been totally screwed as they lost double digit percent ages of the property's value,
while they people who rented/hd benefits pay their rents for them, now got an even better deal and are able to bully sellers outright into slashing asking prices.
*They offer those people totally free luxury accomodation, and with £100s of free spending money each month,
to REWARD THEM for getting themself into their situation by doing what they did.
But what do the people who scrimped and saved to just get by on the basics, living on only what they earnt,
and not maxing out thousands on cards then having the debt written off because they refused to make any repayments,
and the banks foundout that they were actually powerless to do anything as the borrowers rented not owned, so no repossessions could happen...
How are they rewarded by the government and system??
*They have to pay even higher taxes to fund everyone elses lifestyles.
*They struggle to get creditcards, even though they havent got bad ratings.
*They miss out on all the great government offers that are given only to the 'immoral people'. :rotfl::rolleyes:
This is how the world is now, so you can either take advantage of this and capitalise on it,
or be used and abused by the system.
Adapt or die, as the Cockroach said to the dinosaur. :A

imsure i can take any abuse u throw at me . ive coped with more than that...
Frankly i dont care what u think and i think u couldnt care less what opinions u get.
Just because people stated facts . The fact that you live with a partner means you are means tested as a partner or cohabitor. If you cant cope with that move out ..
We do not have much , we struggle to survive on our joint wages but we are happy.. benefits help the battle , i claim what I am entitled to no more .
Frankly i couldnt see you on here saying , they are paying me too much , im sure u would sit in your cosy accomodation reaping the the benefits that you are not entitled to .
This is all just my opinion i have given good advise in the past , and do not appriciate how trumped up some poeple can be
Thank you for listening please replace the reciver after the tone
