Check the dictionary for the meaning of extra, then compare it to the meaning of additional, within the context of this query.

calm down dear, its only a forum.
If you post your questions for help on public forum you are bound to get a whole range of replies.
Whatever you decide, when alls said and done its only £100, if you can afford a wedding in a posh hotel its probably only a small percentage of the cost of the wedding.
Toodle oomake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Who are you - Micheal Winner!
Whether or not I can afford it is none of your business and nothing to do with whether or not I SHOULD pay the money.
Its all about dispute resolution and whether I am legally bound to pay the 'extra' money.0 -
Oh dear, i do seem to have wound you up. Your being very defensive. Sorry about that!!!
So like i say, go and get proper legal advice at £150 an hour then you will know definitely for sure.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

LOL -you still here. As I said, this is a Consumer Rights Forum............unfortunately it appears you dont have the qualifications, experience, skills, knowledge or competence to offer any such advice..........(doesnt leave you much) but good luck for the future anyway.

The company is free to issue more than one invoice for the services provided. If a service was left off of the first invoice, they can send a second. They can also correct a mistake in an invoice. There's no magic law that's going to let you off the hook here. If you got the service, you need to pay for it.
A wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life. I wouldn't personally choose to remember it as the day which started a long drawn out argument over a bill which I tried to avoid paying over a technicality. You have indicated here that you don't care whether or not you should "morally" pay the money. Anyway, I wish you and the not-so-lucky bride well.0 -
Ladies, put the handbags away!
Barry, if the extra £100 was part of the agreed costs but hasn't been paid yet, then you should pay it.
If you feel you got a poor service regarding the unpainted balcony, then that's a separate matter, which should be dealt with separately. Did you have it agreed in writing that they would paint the balcony? If yes, then perhaps ask them to pay for all the photos to be touched up by a specialist?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
"It wasnt painted,why should I pay?" seriously???mortui non mordent0

I asked for consumer advice but you are giving me moral and ethical advice. If you have nothing useful to add I suggest you dont reply to the original question!
Thanks for you assistance anyway
If you don't think they apply, then don't expect any business to act morally or ethically towards you and don't complain if they don't.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
