Asda- BEWARE!!!

I have to post about my experience with Asda as they have seriously peed me off.
I use the website mysupermarket.com to do my online shopping list, for obvious reasons of saving myself money.
I used Asda for last weeks shopping, where again, a significant number of unavailable items, which we needed, as I do plan my weekly meals for myself and my partner, to save us money etc. As it was the first time shopping with Asda, i just ignored this, as i really couldnt be bothered with the hassle of complaining etc
It did annoy me though, because an offer of some products which i had ordered, one of those items in the offer was unavailable...so i was left without one item, and charged full price for the other items! It annoyed me but i just passed it by.
This week, howeverm after ordering online, getting to checkout and being told hlaf the items i wanted were unavialable, and then having to redo my list to get the things i need for the week, first complaint.
Then the shopping arrived, with even more items unavailable, and im not just meaning, small things, but meat, chicken & gammon, which were part of the meals i had planned for the week...the cheeky b****** chucked in some minging seeded bread loaf, which we didnt order...maybe to stop me from getting angry...didnt work!!
So, i went onto the Asda website, to complain about unavailable items and the inconvenience it will now cause for me, propbably meaning i will have to take the time and money to go out to the supermarket and buy what was missing off my list, and once i had clicked send, a note came up to say i was restricted to 1000 characters!! OMG was i angry then, having to shorten my complaint etc....
I was pretty fuming about this, then i went off to tick off the shopping to check everything was there, and discovered ALL off our frozen food was missing!!
So i lost it completely, being 36 weeks pregnant, emotional enough and tired as it is, and then having to deal with phoning and complaining!!!
I was then pushed even furthur over the edge, when i rang the customer service line, was straight away put on hold for a good 15mins, and got trhough to those wonderful foreign ppl with the very strange accents
I then had to list all the codes for the missing items, grrr, then he told me someone from Asda would call in the morning with a rearranged delivery time for the missing items today....has anyone rung!?!?!!?!?!? NO and it is now afternoon
I rang back customer service to complain AGAIN, they told me again, someone would contact me asap...i asked when asap would be...was told impoosible to tell...so god knows when ill get my shopping
SO annoying as I couldnt even yell at the guy on the phone, i told him how angry i was and told him everything...but hes just the messenger, I wanted to speak to the bloody people in charge, those at the top who dont have to get the abuse from angry customers...although they bloody well should!!
I want:
The items ive paid for
The unavailable items i wanted in the first place
AND
some sort of compensation, for the stress I have been put under & most probably my unborn baby!!!! Im surprised i didnt end up in bloody labour!!!!
Will I get any of these???
To top things off, I have to ring BT, as our phone line is AWFUL (only just joined with them) loudspeaker doesnt work on the phone & phone keeps freezing up...last time i rung up because broadband kept cutting out (a week into joing BT!!) i was on the phone for nearly 2 hours with them!!!!!!!!!
God, and to say you're meant to relax and rest towards the end of your pregnancy!!

I do alot of online shopping (more recently since i broke my knee),and i can honestly say i will never use Asda again after only 1 delivery. I've had too good experience with Tesco, Sainsburys and Ocado to even put up with the abysmal service Asda gave us.
Our Asda delivery was 15 mins late which fair enough i don't mind but its when i had so much food missing and i don't mean he forgot to go in the chiller or someting cause it was all sorts of stuff inc cupboard and freezer. The freezer stuff we did receive was all defrosted inc a few packs of lollies which were unusable.
I rang the call centre to complain had the missing items refunded, but i still had to ring back to get my substitutes refunded as i hadn't accepted them and they weren't credited back.
I'm not sure if you'll get compensation though i had to ask a few times for the money back for the frozen stuff we couldn't use, but they did offer me a free delivery code which i involuntarily laughed at for one i will not be using Asda again and two i can google a code in 2 mins anyway so no point. They may offer to replace the missing items not sure about the unavailabe ones if they're still unavailable ours offered but when they told me which store delivers to us it definately made my mind up not to use them again. We have 4 Asdas within 10 mins drive to us and they deliver from the very worst one possible.
Sorry not much help sorry but my rant too.0 -

It's just so frustrating isnt it? People shouldnt have to chase and have to put up with that kind of service. When (IF) they get back in contact, Im going to say that I want a full refund, because i dont want any of their asda crap, id rather do my shopping online again, but with Tesco.
Only problem is, i need them to get in contact, because we are without food, and i need to know what step to take next, I cant order a new list from Tesco, as im down £50 from shopping at Asda!!0 -
I have phoned for the THIRD time, as no one has called me back regarding my missing PAID FOR items...have been told to wait for at least an hour for a callback from the foreign guy...So far have now been waiting since 9pm last night....0

Items are bound to unavailable though, the availablity is down to the store though and not the internet shopping people. Id take a breather and when or iff asda call you then talk calmly to the person on the other end, tell them your not best pleased with whats happened, also was it your first time shopping at asda.com as you could say as you werent best pleased you will use 1 of theyre competitors eg tesco, sainsburys and they might offer something(worth a shot, if you dont ask you dont get)0

We used Tesco shopping for a big event a few years back. We had assumed that having booked our delivery a couple of weeks in advance, this would count as having told the store we wanted large quantities of some items. This was an incorrect assumption- no matter how far in advance you order, what you get depends on what's in on the day, the stock control systems take no notice of internet orders.0

Asda are hideous. I always shop with tesco and any errors are easily dealt with for my shopping. I got charged for stuff that i never got and i tried 3 times to get a refund but as it was their new website they could not help!!!!!!!
I never give up usually but i did in the end. So i agree shopping online with asda is not worth the hassle.0 -
asda hideous - not going to ever use them again
ocado are superb, their drivers are fab and have far more leeway than the others when it comes to sorting out problems - they also text you the day before telling you what if anything is out of stock, i have only ever had one item oos with all the orders ive had with them
no im not emplyed by them but they are far superior'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -

i would have thought the internet shopping system would be linked to the stores stock control system so the stores system could order extra stock for cusotmers wanting large numbers of a certain item0
