I glued these on as its on mdf, but i think the advantage on canvas would be you could sew them on... but i am trying to save pennies, so this works best for me!! thank you!
i am going to do patchwork pattern one as well when i find the time!0 -
Yes I'm thinking of doing a patchwork one too as the bits of fabric I will have left over will be fat eigths. I can get a canvas in 99p shop hopefully but will still look at B&Q as the pieces might come in handy for next years presents.0

Hi,
I wanted to make some french memory boards but bought the wrong thing - I bought cork memo boards instead of canvas boards. Anyone have any ideas what I could do with these please?
Many thnaks in advance.

Dora - I picked up some cheap placemats from the charity shop last week, found a cork memo board I always meant to do something with, took it apart and cut the pieces to fit on the place mats leaving enough of the pattern showing. Maybe you could do something like that?I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

you can make memory boards with cork boards, lots of people use them as a cheaper alternative! you will jsut need to glue over where the ribbons cross with buttons etc, rather then stitch. will work fine!0

Thank you for your help. I will try with one of them and see how I get on.

Here's my first(and probably the last!) attempt at a memory board:rolleyes: I made it for my niece but I don't know if I'm going to give it to her as I'm not overly impressed with it and maybe next time I should measure properly:rotfl:Feb GC £80 per week (Well I'm gunna try:whistle:)
