Thanks soblivion, it's a great memory board.
Guess I was wrong, it seems that a cork board is sturdy enough, probably the cheapest way of doing it I reckon. Chip board isn't a bad idea either.0 -
Hi! Went into b & q today and near where they "cut" the mdf etc, they have off cuts etc for around 10 p each!! I got a huge amount of mdf (5 very large memory boards worth) for £3!! Then a few smaller one from laminate, which will be nice and light but also stirdy for 10p! haha, so have enough for 7 and it cost me £3.10p so I am very pleased!!0

If you go to your local charity shop they usually have the cork notice boards by the dozen and are glad to sell them. I also use picture frames - take out the glass and slot in a padded backing board - make great jewellery holders and if you pick up a really ornate frame they look amazing. I used one to display brooches at a craft fair once and more people wanted the frame than the brooches!Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Well I did it! My first ever go at a Memory board! With a toddler and 5 year old in room!! haha, I just used the fabric I had and bought the black ribbon, I already had the black buttons.
You cant see the fabrics well..as flash makes it look a bit shiny, but it isnt shiny, its lovely! And now I have this, that matches my curtains! haha
what do you think? I am very proud!
