The best way to get cheaper laser eye surgery is to go and have a laser consultation then say you are going to go away and think about it. If it is one of the big multiples like optical express, optimax or ultralase they will almost certainly start phoning up and offering you discounts!

If any one has any questions on laser eye surgery at all please feel free to ask?

    Evening!

I had eye surgery in October last year and I have to say I'm over the moon with it! I haven't been discharged yet, they're very thorough, my eyes can be quite dry, but this was something I had before. My vision is now 20:20, previously my prescription was -7 (short sighted so pretty bad!). I was able to afford it because someone referred me, and when this happens they send through more and more tempting offers (I was finally able to afford it when they offered it to me for half price :T). If you want more info please do pm me!

20/20 is not good, 20/20 is only avg, i have 20/10 corrected

too many horror stories about the surgery, you only have one set of eyes

but then i am not vain and have no problems with being a specky

    Hey Eric

Your right 20/20 vision is only average but it is what is considered perfect vision - you are very lucky having 20/10 vision which is exceptional. Why are you on a laser eye surgery forum if you have such amazing vision? I am a bit confused!

I know someone who had it done about 6 years back. Had starburst effect in bright lights at night for a while. Now 6 years on,,,needs specs again. Have you tried daily disposables?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

its a health forum and I am lower carbing which there is a thread for

I also find it fascinating what motivates people to risk there eyesight but also to look for the best "bargain" whilst having such procedures, if i did decide to have this done I would probably be of the mind set to look for the best available not a budget version.

I had it done in 2002, I had quite bad short sight (-6.75). I did a lot of research, picked the surgeon who had the best success rate (and pioneered some of the technique), and saved up. It cost 4 times the price of the cheapie ones that advertise on tv, but it seemed sensible to save longer, pay more and get the best I could.
8 years on, still have perfect vision, no dry eye, and just a little bit of starburst at night.

I think you right - why try and look for the cheapest laser eye surgery going - if it is cheap it is likely to be for reason. - Best to save up and go for the very best treatment and that way you are likely to have the vision you have always dreamed of having.

I had this done 5 years ago at Optimax. Im thrilled with the results, had no pain afterwards and they keep you on their system for a year afterwards and have regular checkups.

I dont regret having it done at all.

You should research all the different clinics before you decide to have the treatment - i would recommend having at least 2 laser eye surgery consultations
