i cannot see why not as you clearly need a bedroom each for your children and one for yourselves, then you can go 1 bigger than is actually needed.
what does your passport letter say how many apartments have you been approved for? the house you are describing sounds like a 5 apt to me (assuming the rooms sizes meet the 6m squared rule) so check your passport letter.
to be honest its your luck who you get when you phone, we had terrible experience with one girl who gave us confusing advice and eventually we were dealing with a man named simon who was very helpful.

Our letter says 3 bedrooms, which is a 4 apartment which is fair enough,

The house we were looking at has a max ceiling of 100k and since its offers over 125k i don't think we can take it.

So we are looking in other areas.

So once we find a property we like and the Grampian housing approve the Home report etc, i make an offer, if it gets accepted we get the mortgage sorted out and all done?

  • Congratulations both. Last I heard from them is that I'm on the waiting list if the government do the scheme in 2010. Sitting on tenterhooks waiting for news!

Keep your fingers crossed for me :)
