As my Video Recorder only tapes Analogue Channels, what equipment do I need to record my built in Freeview Channels?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Your best bet would be to get a separate Freeview box and hook it up to your VCR.
Or splash out on a PVR.0 -
Sorry but as I have no technical knowledge whatsoever would I be able just to disconnect the VCR and connect the PVR. Also are the discs to record the same blank ones I use on my Computer?0
-
A PVR is like a computer in that it has a hard drive to record the programmes on. There are no discs as such.0

You can get a freeview twin tuner PVR for as little as £40

Please note I'm not recommending this one or the shop but just pointing out a cheap one.
Time to consign that VCR to the bin - the picture quality on a freeview PVR is no different from live TV plus you get the ability to pause/rewind live TV and store loads of programs without having umpteen cassettes.0 -
You basically set the box (which has Freeview built-in) to record the programme(s) you want, by going onto the guide, and selecting the programme in the planner. There is no need for DVDs, as everything is stored, and recorded onto the hard drive built into the box, but if you really must, you can get some systems with an in-built DVD drive for playing your DVDs, and recording TV to DVDsThe quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Seconded- I have a 9150T and it's excellent.0

It sounds like you've got a TV with Freeview built in? It's unlikely, so check your manual, but maybe you can record that signal over SCART to the VCR. Connect the lead to the 2nd SCART of the TV and the 1st SCART of the VCR. set the VCR to record from AV1 (or try all the AV channels). Let us know if this works! I prefer the PVR option myself though.0

Thanks, I will try this.0
