We have just brought a panasonic dvd recorder with freeview
model DMRES20D.We cannot get any freeview chanels on it. Have we
done any thing wrong.

Your aerial may need upgrading to be able to receive the freeview channels0

After searching the model number it does not seem to have freeview built in.
