What to say to this one?

I sold a pair of Oasis trousers on ebay, the buyer has just emailed to say 'thanks for swift delivery. However I am disapoointed they are not as described, the colour you described is white and they are cream. Please advise'.

Now, I want to say 'I advise you to go to Specsavers' but obviously that won't help! I'm quite sure they were white, they looked white to me. I hung them on a white door to take the photo and they looked even whiter still then!
So what do I say to this lady? Send them back and I will ask ten people what colour they are, and if the majority say cream I'll refund you??? :rotfl:

This is the listing, by the way:

I would ask her to return and then refund, if she opens a paypal claim for SNAD youll lose and have to refund anyway onces shes returned. At least if you offer you might not get a neg!

They look all white to me :D
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I think they look white too but I don't suppose there is much you can do in this situation. I would just make her send them back and give her a refund - anything for an easy life!

Is your paintwork white or magnolia? As they seem very close to the paintwork colour.

they are as described, the photo is of the actual item in question, and the winning bid was 3 quid. tell her to swivel, politely.
then if she tries to claim, you have the back up to prove you did everything correctly, and you could counter claim for emotional stress. or something.

To be fair, if the white balance on the camera is out - they could be any colour within reason. If you set the white balance to a shade of green, then anything that is green will come out white and thus all the colours change accordingly.

That's why it is important to know what colour the door is so that the comparison can be made.
  • Id just get them to send them back and then refund them the winning bid plus original postage. You never know if you offer to do this, they might decide to keep them realising its not worth the hassle for them.

I say this from experience as i wish i said this now to a buyer i had, i didn't and it cost me my 1st neg. Then they liked mentioned above put a claim in for not as described with paypal, i was extremely lucky though as paypal found im my favour.

But the hassle i went through wasn't worth getting my 1st neg.
