    Absolutely!

next question? Alright, why do you never get a response? Why when you have been unsuccessful can they not have some manners and professionalism and tell you? Why are they obnoxious know-it-alls?

Shall I continue? No, I think myself and others have made our points very well.

Yes, we have Louise, but we are banging our heads against the wall

These people DO NOT LISTEN! Not even sometimes to their own Client when they get the brief. You, I and countless others, some of whom have recounted their experiences with RC's know that we are not making this up or embellishing it, they refuse to 'get it' let them wander off to Westminster and become M.P'S then they can lie, claim dubious expenses and refuse to accept they are in the wrong and sometimes ( wouldn't want to generalise!...) are spectacularly incompetent, rude and contemptuous..

But hey, at least I can wake up in the morning and I'm not a Recruitment Consultant...:rotfl:forget to add...HURRAH!

haha that is something I am grateful for everyday...must be one of the worst jobs ever.
  • Loucam, I do accept your point about the sector being target orientated, ridiculously so in my opinion, and I did refer to it in an earlier post, however that doesn't excuse some of the behaviour nor does it negate any of the stories on here about RC's. Lets agree to disagree I think.

agreed with above - I think its just common decency to let people know what going on. Literally takes 2 mins to hammer out an email.
  • Louise22, in answer to your question about never hearing or getting a response - I posted a job today and within an hour I had 247 CVs. Phyiscally, I cannot send an email to that many people. I have an out of office on which says basically, if you do not hear from me within 5 working days you have been unsucessful.

In addition to the emails, we get phone call after phone call and 30/40 people per day walking in.

I am not your average recruitment agent. I am rubbish at the job and I am surprised they havent sacked me yet (here's hoping....!) but in defence of them in times like this it is is difficult and stressful.

I have just got home half an hour ago, have ordered a takeaway (points!) and am going to get pished off my £3 wine from Lidl.

IMHO, do not go through agencies. Do it off your own back xxx

I am sure you will! If you can stick something like that out, it shows that you have balls :D
  • sometimes the reason why candidaes won't hear anything back about a position is basically because their is no such position available.

its a ploy u see. agencies put up fake adverts purely to get a fresh intake of CV's. I had to do it countless times!!!!
