Hugo- you might be the man to deal with this. I'm just embarking on a whole house rewire (well, my electrician will be!). I will be keeping anything he strips out with copper in in- I've already got some defunct TV aerial cable to one side. What is the price differential between wire still coated with plastic, and pure copper wire- is it enough to get stripping?! You know what I mean!!;)

always strip the wire. covered copper wire brings a very small price.
    Get some gorm.

It's great fun, they're rolling it out across the country eventually, and you find yourself casually picking up cans in the park and thinking another 1/4 point! Seriously, I got 120 points the other day and I'm sure at least 40 were from random wombling.
    a wombling we will go...
  • Does anyone know of anywhere that accepts Epson and Epson compatible inkjet cartridges for recycling? I don't know why, but all the inkjet cartridge recycling envelopes I've ever seen accept other major brands but can't recycle Epson cartridges.

At work we recycle all ours through Oxfam. They take Epson ones

I've just noticed one of those places that does refills and they're advertising that they can now refill Epson. Does anyone know if this a development or a con?

If you cut a plastic carrier bag into inch wide strips and twist it into a 'string' you can knit with it!
You can make very strong carrier bags out of old carrier bags that last fo AGES!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

We have recently replaced two of our central heating radiators. I had a look on the web but couldn't see anywhere that would pay for the old ones. Anybody know are they worth anything, or should I just take them to the local dump?

Try www.inkcycle.co.uk. I've just looked and they will pay me £1 for my HP cartridge. Worth a look. xxx
