There is always the other 2 phrases Tete.
"If you want something doing, kill Baldrick first" (Blackadder, E. - Blackadder the third)
"If you want something doing, do it yourself" (To add - You lazy sod!)0 -

I am sure you will be fine once you see all the pretty dresses, cakes and drinks stalls (especially with the freebies mmmm freebies)
It's only the thought of the freebies that keeps me sane tbh!Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »I'm very busy at work so of course I've been doing some calculations looking at my bank accounts :D - I've worked out that I'm £1,850 (ish) off filling my ISA for this year. That's £231 per month or £61 per week ... Do you think I can do it?!?!
Without a doubt! You're pretty much halfway there and you've only had 5 months so far!
So, easy decision made, we're selling NIMs car! :eek:Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I've bought NIM 2 Birthday pressies so far, want to get a couple more, but nothing big as we're too skint! Don't have much to get for Christmas this year, Center Parks for family, and a tiny token for everyone to open on the day. Job done. Tempted to make another food hamper for the two sets of grandparents again.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Christmas is cancelled here as OH will be away and I am working Christmas day afternoon.
Plus no spare cash at the moment since we are paying the CC off.0 -
When is NIMs birthday?
I am hoping to pay for most pressies with vouchers, points or the money we are saving in penny pot. Hopefully then only need to worry about OHs pressie.0 -
Dinah, have you had a look at how much you might get for NIM's car?
The extra £225+ per month is going to be a big saving towards your wedding/house fund.0 -
Wouldn't have thought much, an S reg Hyundai coupe with a fairly dented and mangled front bumper, but 6 months MOT and tax and runs fine?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

i know this is old but i want to follow your progress too. You're doing great!
Although im a bloke its still nice to see a romantic story! Heres my not so perfect moment:
Took the missus to Cancun for 2 weeks. I had a diamond engagement ring hand built after selecting the exact diamond i wanted from a big vault of diamonds! On the night of september 11th 2007 (not the best date i know) i tell her to hurry up as we have dinner reservations. The plan is to do a sunset beach proposal as the sunsets were lovely that time of year! So anyway she takes so long to get ready we eventually get down to the beach WHEN ITS DARK AND THERE IS LIGHTNING over the ocean and i propose, with a wet knee.
I was going to put it back a day but instead i thought i'd tell her of my original plan and let her know thats what happens when your late! haha. Still it was kind of romantic proposing in one of the biggest lightning storms ive ever seen. I just hope its not an image of whats to come!
Keep up the great work OP and i hope you and NIM are really happy together :-)MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0
