How many days did you say it was...?

113 days :D eeee!! Nights are drawing in now too, all giddy!

Birdie - I can't believe the prices some places charge for wedding drinks! I looked at Chatworth prices last night and I think it was £8 for a flute of champagne

My bank account is looking really sad today! Wages don't go in until tomorrow and after drawing £30 out for the weekend I'm left with a grand total of 1p in my account  Earnt £20 at my Grandpas yesterday so at least my board is paid without needing my wages.

Dinah - Hope you don't mind me picking your noggin! My Brother and Cousin want us 3 to put our premium bonds together and start renovating houses with the idea to sell them on. Just wondering what is it you do about tax? Would we need to register as some form of small business or something? Or do you only need to do that if you're buying to let?

Mmmm, sounds good!! I had a random tea last night of two corn on the cobs and a cheese scone.

I think it's really cold as well, my arm was out of the covers when I woke up and it was freezing! I quite like it though.

Interesting development about the house renovations, keep us posted won't you?

With my new savings target I'm feeling all inspired to do some moneymaking - first job on my list is chasing up all the untracked quidco!

Oooh, Dinah, I found an old pair of tweedy trousers in my wardrobe this morning and I thought they'd make quite a good dog draught excluder (I've wanted to make one of these for a while), and that got me all exciteded and I started dragging loads of old clothes with nice patterns out and wondering what else I could make from them!! :T I'm excited!

You need to pay tax on any profits when you come to sell the house, as it was a profit making venture not your own personal house. You probably don't need to register as a business - we were looking to do that due to the huge amount of money coming into the country that would be liable to be taxed. You will need to seek the advice of an accountant, as you may want to set up very differently if you are planning to continuously keep turning over houses and not draw out a salary/profit from the company for a few years, compared to if you just want to buy one house and do it up and all take your share straight out again.

You scare me. I thought you couldn't sew?! I think I'm going to be left behind in the 'special' class at sewing school.

So, NIM and I have £73 to last 3 weeks.... this could be fun....

We're gonna start with the 'signs in windows' technique of car selling, see if anyone bites. We need to get the front a bit fixed first though, as driving it into things makes it look like its had a stroke.

Because we haven't had one for a while, HOTD. Think its a little out of our budget, but lovely!

On a more realistic scale, I quite like this one.

I think I've found the ulitmate proposal! http://dollyboo101.blogspot.com/2009/08/romantic-italian-proposal.html Utterly Jealous!

Tete - I do that with pretty patterned clothes too! I have zero skills though so that's kinda where the imagining starts and stops. When is it the course starts?
I love that feeling you have after setting a savings target, I'm aiming for £600 by the end of September - mainly so my savings don't look so sad after I pay for mine and OHs holiday. Really should get cracking, I think it's about £70 a week to save!

Thanks Dinah! We have the accountant in the office today so I'll go pick her brain. I think they want to do just one house first, then when it's sold draw out what we put in and split the profits - then decide if it's something we want to properly invest in long term.

ETA: Wowzer to the first house Dinah!! I think I should go buy a lottery ticket..

I can't, I just get these big ideas!! Making a draught excluder would basically involve cutting a leg off the trousers and sewing up the ends..?

First house was very impressive, but I always think big houses don't look very cosy! Second one lovely too.

Wow, what a story Cinny! She must feel really special knowing all the planning and attention to detail that went into it!

I really like the second house, looks like a lovely family home.

My money is dissapearing like anything and got 3 and a bit weeks left. Have to start being very careful now.
