So quiet this weekend! Got a second viewing of the house, but we would need to have a mortgage approval in place before we made an offer, and I think that will take a little bit of time. I am sure this will have been sold before we will be ready - wait and see I guess.

Otherwise had a nice weekend, spent some time with friends, spent some of my overdraft - whoops! What have you all been up to?

Would be good if you get the house but if not maybe it is just not meant to be and you will find another even better.

I have had a great weekend so far. Went to see Sister Act yetserday with some friends and then we went for dinner at a nice thai restaurant with lush views of London bridge. One of my friend stayed over and we went to Westfield today. I tried on the Ugg boots I want but they didn't have the colour I want. My friends gave me some money towards them and OH is paying the rest, going to go back Friday when they get new order in.

    Hello!

Had a pretty quiet weekend myself. Pretty boring but also good as it means spends were very low. All we have spent all weekend is £11 on a takeaway last night which isnt too bad.

Sounds good about the house Lara, i hope you get it!

I don't reckon he is going to ask me for my birthday as he is buying me the Uggs and stuff but I think it may be soon as he went to the shopping centre the other day and said he was looking at rings haha. Will just have to wait and see!

Everytime I look at my wedding album I smile and that's what you want :)

That's interesting - I emailed lots of friends for tips who'd got married recently and one that came back was 'don't bother with photos, you never look at them again'. I was very surprised this person said this, and to me, the photos are one of the most important parts of the day (except the reason you're actually there of course!). Glad you still enjoy yours Clearmydebts. And a baby to save for, how exciting :j- when are you due?

Thanks for the wedding breakdown Dinah, v helpful. I swing between having what we really want and my sensible MSE head that says 'how much?!' when I look at stuff :rotfl: I'm in the process of applying for jobs back home so if I could get something lined up and know that one of us has a regular salary (OH is experimenting with selling his sculptures when we get back, which I fully support) to come back to, I might feel better about spending more, knowing I can clear any debt quickly. So bizarre, never been in debt in my life and am recently racking it up :rotfl: in a sensible way of course!

Off to catch up on the thread.

Ooh, I live in Bath!! Bizarrely, I couldn't quite get used to liking it for ages as I wanted to move to Scotland (and then met OH) but now I appreciate what a nice place it is (still want a place in Scotland though :p)

Seems to be lots of good news around here, that's what we like! :T

Why would you want to live in Scotland Balls? All I remember is wet and windy for 9 months of the year. Summer was 2 days if you were lucky.

OH got very depressed. She has been much better down here (OK still not a fan of snow but hey can't have everything).
  • Morning all, Lara - house sounds v promising, hope you do manage to get it, but if not like Wendz says it might be fate.

Bails, just read your sig and how your OH propsed - wow! Oh and as for wedding photos, of course you'll look at them! I always look back at old photos, why would a wedding be any different? Friends of ours quite regularly sit and watch their wedding video together which I thought was really sweet, though I'd be cringing!

    How's the back Poolie?

    How was Edinburgh Dinah?

Two-day week this week, yeah! And lots of girlie goodness to look forward to from Wednesday! :):)

Back is nearly back to normal. I am at working afternoon so that will be the main test since I will have to drive both ways.

Hopefully I can start and get back into the pool and gym next week (slowly)

Aww yeah Tete! I also think photos are really important, although my Mum said the same....

ETA Poolie glad to hear you're on the mend.
