Photographers look ace Dinah, really informal which I like. You're getting there slowly but surely. I'd hound the venue though, people need to be chased about things in this life!
Glad you like the new job Flower, especially as ex-boss was such a twit when you left!!
I think christening presents are so difficult that's why I am glad we are getting the outfit TBH! I think a lot of people get something silver for a christening, or you could name a star or something. If you google it a lot of stuff will come up though!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Wendz - I think you are better to put it out of your head. It is much nicer if it is a surprise and you aren't on edge all the time. You will enjoy the moment a lot more if you don't anticipate every meal and gathering to be the time he pops the question!
Easier said than done... I will try and not get my hopes up or think about it too much though. Don't want to have a major dissapointment although I know will happen sooner or later.
I wouldn't be too sure on Christening presents - needs to be something can keep forever. Some nice china type stuff?0 -
Aye something keepable, preferably that can be engraved. Google for a good idea?!
NIM rang the venue last night, apparently an email is due yesterday evening :rolleyes:Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

When I got DD christened, I asked that if people wanted to give gifts, they give her a book that had personal meaning to them when they were a child as I *knew* that she would love books and luckily she does! She received all kinds of books ranging from very early childhood books, to Roald Dahl classics. In fact, when I'm invited to a christening, I tend to give the child James and the Giant Peach as that's my favourite book of all time and is the first book I remember reading0

That's a lovely idea Kittikins (have I seen you on Fay's diary?) - I'm already thinking of books for his birthday though. Was maybe thinking of one of those hand/foot casts, but not sure if they already have one from when he was born... Need to do a bit more research!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Tete have you seen the class timetable? We actually have to hand in our folder with samples at about week 5 or 6. How did you get on with the stupid stitch we were attempting last week?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I didn't basically... never seem to have the time! I've pencilled in a slot with the sewing machine this evening, to try my hand at the curved lines that you did when I wasn't there and also to see if I can do some tidier versions of the first three we did.
What I have done is looked at all my trouser hems and not one of them has that stupid stitch on!!!
What do we think of this?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I love that book idea Kittikins! Sorry I can't help you with gifts, when I was christened it was kept really traditional - Bible, Prayer Books ect.
Getting all giddy today, I should have my CC cleared within a fortnight and then I can start properly saving for me and OH to move out :T I'm so indecisive though, I don't know if we should rent and move out soon, or spend a year or so saving then plan to buy.
ETA: I like that Tete! It's a nice touch being able to have the photo on the other side too.0
