I figure when the Barclays regular savers mature in March that will be £6200-ish, which is enough to cover the venue since we'll already have paid a £1000 deposit, plus the rings or something.

Apparently NIMs dad wants us to email him details of what we are looking for from a house, guess its to work out if we're being realistic or not!

Great news that you think NIMs dad will help with the house, takes the pressure off you a bit.

Feeling a bit demoralised at seeing our credit card balance back up near the limit! Hope it doesnt take too long for OHs brother to pay us back!

Im very impressed that you left NIM to deal with the finances for so long, i would never be able to do that. Not that i dont trust OH but he is useless with budgeting lol

    Cinny, you're a genius

    Well, you know. I try!

Dinah - Your deposit % is looking pretty darn fab! Any idea when you'll be hitting the 25% mark? It's super lovely of NIMs Dad to help out with the house too. Should take some of the pressure off! You seem a lot happier talking (typing?) about the wedding too.

So sorry to hear about your friends Sister Wendz :( I hope the Op goes well.

Birdie - I love that Scrapbook idea! I'm sure a lot of Brides would love it too.

The weekend is almost over! :( Not had a very MSE one either as I've had to use my Credit Card to pay for things seeing how if wasn't paid. The only MS part was Rich finding boxes of Soleros in Asda for 14p, yum!

Will hit 25% on the 5th November... not long at all!

I'd love a wedding scrapbook but it would be one of those lovely would like to haves, couldnt really afford lots on it as I'd be skint by the time the wedding came around!

At least you can put your wages straight onto the CC Cinny

You actually better going up to £6 as this is the minimum payout level from paypal.

Paypal shows this if you go to the withdrawl screen and click the link to show the minimum withdrawl amount. I say again this is PAYPAL!

So better go to to £6 on STP then transfer it over otherwise your going to have to do another £5 before you can transfer the cash from Paypal
  • I have been on comparison sites looking for house insurance for my parents. They had a renewal price of £475 and I have managed to get them it for £154 with £30 cashback from swinton. I then went through quidco to get another £30 cashback.

That should go towards my boiler which was lecking water on saturday and OH had the turn the water off at the mains. Not sure how much it is going to cost.
    Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too

Ooh! Highest I've ever been is 3 stars. Well done Tink! :T Hoping to get on there for a bit tonight while I wait for OH to finish work.

Sounds like a great deal for your parents ROTE! Hope the problem with the boiler isn't anything major.

Hope everyone's well this morning! Was freezing when I got up, only 6c when me and OH set off for work. Brr! Best get on with work as I'm hoping for a cheeky DooYoo review before I go home meeting OH in town for some dinner after work so I won't have much time for money making. Still, he's paying so I can't really complain!
