Morning!
Hope your Dad and Grandma are feeling better soon Tete (You too Dinah + Wendz!) Well done with the weight loss too!
Poolie - do you have clothes horses for Winter? Might be an idea to use them today. Would save you constantly watching the weather incase it rains!
Took me aages to wake up this morning, it's near pitch black when my alarm goes off now. Still don't feel fully awakeNot good!

And if D had her way we'd be spending every waking second we have at it. Unfortunately its one of the biggest things we argue about, I sometimes think we spend too much time doing extra money making.
Were going to be spending a LOT of time doing it until I start my degree, then we come to the level I feel we should be at...but I'm doing 20 odd hours study on top of that...we need to find some free time.
Actually if D had her way we'd spend no time at all at it, I woud much rather come home and do nothing too. You seem to think I actually enjoy the tedium of writting reviews and selling my clothes for pennies. But our ends don't meet unless we do it, so I don't think we have much choice unless we get into debt or accept not moving out and getting married until 2014 at the earliest.
We made the choices together right at the start, run two cars, go back to ireland several times a year and once on holiday, join a gym (mistake I know, but we still both made the decision), go out with friends/to dinner a couple of times a week and so on. To support that lifestyle and save for a house sacrifices have to be made and not coming home and vegging out is the main one of those.
I have the attitude that we push at it now, get moved out in a year to 18 months, then its over, we dont have to faff about with ebay for pennies anymore, only if we have a big item like an old computer to shift or something.
You knew the degree would eat seriously into free time when you decided to do it, can't have it all ways. Again, short term sacrifice for long term higher earnings potential. The 'have it all' attitude is why many people get into debt, everyone would rather have an easy life!
Do I want to be doing all the scraping for pennies in 5 years time, no. But I think we still will be if we just drift along now and end up paying for a wedding on a credit card.
Went to the hospital this morning for my annual blood pressure check up. Wasn't great news. My blood glucose or something should be below 4.5, anything over that is cause for concern and 7 is diabetes. When they tested me a year ago I was 6.6. They should have called me in for more tests but they apologised and said I had slipped through the net. So now I need to find out if it was a blip, or I actually have some kind of problem.
Still feel rubbish, but didn't get the chance to curl up in bed and feel ill last night as NIM was feeling poorly too which meant I needed to take care of him.

You can keep the rain. Won't mind some wind as the washing would at least dry out then.0 -

Cinny, we don't have a washing line so only have a clothes horse. I just put the clothes horse out when the weather is dry otherwise he will be sitting next to the heater during the winter (when we turn it on).
Even with the patio door shut the room gets very warm and good for clothes drying duties.0 -
Morning all,
Dinah - sorry you are feeling a bit yuck. I think you have a great attitude and I agree that small sacrifices now will make your future a nice one.

Aw Dinah!Hope you're feeling a bit better soon, and triple-exta-sellotaped fingers crossed that is isn't anything serious at the hospital.
And I'll come back with something super positive and happy to say about the whole money making thing once I wake up properly! All I have to say atm is, I know it's a massive strain and that it soaks up a lot of time and energy but one day when you have your perfect dream house, managing to stay at home looking after the kiddies, painting and making cakes for a bit of extra cash it'll all be completely worth it. You've got your head screwed on right, Lass! (Read that bit in a strong Yorkshire accent, give it a bit more oomph!)

He is wanting to make you feel rejected, just protecting you from the germs. Just because he wants to wrap you up and keep the germs away.
