(((hugs))) for Holly... deep breath... stay calm... ;)

boddy - glad you had a lovely time. You're obviously going to be missed.

Well, cake is nearly finished. You can tell its supposed to be a pig :p but I CBA to do any lettering as the letters keep getting stuck in the template and I want to go to bed at some point...

Just need to put the ribbon on, then I can clear up and find something to eat before I go to bed with my book.

Tomorrow morning will obviously be spent clearing up and packing... oh yes, and stewing the plums which I should have done last weekend and freezing the blackberries (at least they don't need cooking first!)

LL - Big hugs for you..hope the pain is getting under control by now..
Natty - aww..so sorry to hear about lodger cat...
Zoe - Hugs for you, hope all is working out ok..
Greenbee - your cakes always sound fab, do you use shaped tins or do you cut out the right shape free hand iyswim?? I'm always proud if I've managed to make a batch of fairy cakes or something that just needs mixing together & shoving in the fridge, thats why cheesecake is a favourite in this house!:D

And to everyone else..I love your smurfs! I'd forgotten all about them, my cousin had a huge collection when we were kids, didn't they come free with petrol or something like that?

Cake is round (although cut out from a square as I didn't have a big enough round tin!). Pig's face is round... nose is oval... nostrils are made with wooden spoon handle... eyes are white ovals with black blobs in them... ears are folded over triangles...

It doesn't look bad, but it definitely doesn't look professional. I'd love to have been able to do something like http://www.cakes4fun.co.uk/novelty/girlspopup.php?ref=136, but then again, that's probably a couple of days work whereas mine took an evening. Still, if I'd seen it before I started making this one, I'd have used green on the board and made up some daisies in advance. Hopefully everyone will like it tomorrow!

Just a quick one before I head off to bed with my book..

Thank you so much for your comforting words and hugs, you don't know how much these are appreciated.

I've had a semi quiet day around my friend's house and then plodding around the house doing absolutely nothing this afternoon.

I also got a lovely surprise when I logged onto my bank account - my lodgerdog (Beth) that I had been looking after for the past 3 weeks, well she went home last weekend and her lovely owner had transferred £100 into my bank account as a thank you for looking after her. Wow is all I could say to her, oh and telling her off as I did it out of love for Beth and my friendship to her and wasn't expecting any payment or anything. Heck a box of choccies would have sufficed..lol Isn't it strange how some people are, now Beth's mum was so pleased that I had done a lovely job with Beth and she had been looked after and they had peace of mind that she did this, yet lodgercat (Freds) owner couldn't even find the money for his vets fees. Now as queer as folk as they say!!

Thank you to Toots for the lovely texts, you are an angel and a star in the making sweetie.

Normal service shall be resumed in chez Natty's house very soon..

    *Hugs* to everyone..

    I've been Money Tipped!
Don't know why that's surprising, it is August after all! I have a friend who goes to Costco and she comes back with the most amazing cakes, maybe I should make a trip there. Where is it anyway?

I guess if it was cards and a few decs then no I would not have been surprised but it was like Santas grotto in there today with flashing reindeers and stars, ringing bells, lifesize toy soldiers (only £89 lol) crackers, toys, mincemeat pies and candy canes! :rotfl:

The cakes are fab especially the birthday cakes for £10 but today we rang the changes with a large carrot cake for £7.99 (yum)Hopefully there will be enough to go round! Our nearest costco is in Lakeside, Thurrock. It is well worth a visit, this time we stocked up on dettox sprays, vitamins, loo rolls, wine, real ale for dh, chews for pooch, meat for barbecue (the meat is always good), fruit and veg, yogurt, soya milk and toothpaste!

Got to carry on flying tomorrow in the garden if it stops raining!

(((hugs))) to those that need one

    oooooohhhh.. I want to go!!!!!!!!!!!

I need new tree decs... and DS1 needs some.... and flashing reindeer and pretty tree lights... ooh.. take me take me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH's coffee table collected from DS1 to drop at his sisters along with Peter tomorrow.. :( the children are very sad he is going :( We have a piece of fluffy fabric inthe pen which he is taking with him to stop him being so very sad we hope.. So tomorrow I will be decluttering a coffee table and a kitten.

Dw loaded and filters emptied of splurk so hopefully in the morning after hoofing the children off to daddy's I can wash my bedding and hang it over the bannister to dry, strip the childrens beds and get their sheets ready to wash when I get back. I just hung up a load of laundry from the WM and stood the airer in the kitchen so with luck that will be dry by the time I return too. I also took a manky apple (or at least I think it used ot be an apple) from the fruit bowl and washed the remaining fruit and washed the bowl and made it less gross.

I am hoping to go bother my friend in hebden bridge on the way home so the new list may be up quite late in Sunday.. that or it wil be up quite early.. I need some homeopathing from her to hopefully sort out my cba-ness and other issues.

DS1 is coming in to feed the rabbits cats and fish and I am going to sort myself a 'to-do' list for the morning.. though.. I may do it here so you can all check up on my laziness!!

    Nappies in bag for DD3
Make sure DS's 2 and 3 and DD2 have stuff sorted for the weekend at XH's
    Feed cats and kittens
Send DD1 to shop for hay, feed bunnies
    Clean litter tray
Strip and wash my bedding and hang to dry
strip childrens bedding and bung in washers ready to turn on when I return
bundle little homeopathy empties for friend
    empty kitchen bin
Sort my bag of bits ~ underwear, slap, smellies, top, toothbrush/paste, hairbrush
    Wipe out cat carrier
Fluffy bit in box and kitten! :(
    Office disc & lappy
    book
jumper and socks.. I hate being cold
close all windows and lock doors
and... I'll need a shower in the morning

The big question.. can I do all that BEFORE 10am..............

    Bedtime.......... xxxxxxxxxxxxx
