I've been using Bravissimo for a couple of years now and always go there and get measured. The bras I've had from there always fit great and until I got bras from there I didn't realise just what a bad fit my old bras were. I now measure 32F and there are not many shops to get them from. I have occaisionally got bras from sale websites but only when I've tried them on in Bravissimo because some styles fit differently... Hope this helps

So, you don't need the add 4 inches thing? That thing made me out to be a 38C/D when in reality I'm a 34E, and it's really REALLY comfy! La Senza bras come up way too small for me, by their reckoning I'd still be about a D/DD/E but need a 38, and that's just hideously big (I'd probably need an F though, as their cup sizes look ridiculously small!)

I know, I'm going to advocate the supermarkets now, especially Asda and Tesco, as you can get the bigger cup sizes in the funky bras. I'm not too sure about small backs, as the smallest I've seen them do in some is a 32, and that's not much help for you.

La senza have quite crazy sizes, most people I know need to go up in the back, and stay the same or go up in the cup too. If they do your sizes then the supermarket bras can be good - I believe the Katie Price at Asda range is made by panache. Sadly they don't believe I exist size wise.

I think for many people the whole add 4 or 5 to your measurement no longer works properly.

it's great isn't it! I'm going over to America tomorrow, and I'm actually taking bras in my hand luggage because they don't do anything even vaguely resembling my size there! try finding less than a 32 or bigger than an F - other than a few little specialist independents they just don't do it.

That is good, that is what I like to hear!! That was a while ago.

To be honest Juno, some people can wear moulded, some cannot. I am one of the ones who cannot, I do have one but I do not really wear it that often.

Have you tried the Fantasie moulded bras with the soft cup (style 4500 or 4520), there is a full cup option (choose one size smaller than your usual size on this one else it puckers) or the balcony option which most people prefer. if you have to wear it under a white t-shirt or shirt then choose the Nude and then you cannot see it like you can a white bra. The nude does seem a bit icky colour wise but I have more nude bras as you can wear them with anything.

The moulded bras with the firm cup is style 4510 - G is the largest cup size so you will not get any bigger than that and I find the Panache Porcelain pretty much has the same fit, it is the same as any bra really - some people can wear anything, some can't.

Did you know Freya have an underwired and non-wired sports bra now? I can highly recommend them for fit and support - good for days when you just feel 'too heavy' as well IFYWIM. That comes in Red or the basic colours.

I do not do Curvy Kate or Kalyani, I've not taken on any new brands for a while. DS was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism 2 years back so I stuck with the brands I had, my website works is around him and so it was easier just to keep with the brands I had and those 2 were fairly new 2 years back, they never even appeared at the Lingerie shows I used to attend - but there is so much to choose from anyway in the brands I sell anyway it has not been a huge impact. Maybe one day when he is bigger - but believe it or not, I do it for me time as I could not imagine sitting still for more than 5 minutes and I have a real passion for bras and seeing people in the right bra!! Can you tell, LOL. :)
I visited your site and liked the look of 4520. Then strangely loads of other pretty bras added them to my basket - and they were all my size too! How weird :o

I think I might have to wait til payday.

    Hi!
There seems to be a correlation between bra sizes and their prices: the larger the bra, the larger the price?? Does anyone know a shop online or offline (anywhere?!) where this isn't the case. In other words, I want a cheap bra as I'm a student. I am looking for a 28 back size in particular, and a large cup size.

    Thanks!

It depends on how you look at it - a large proportion of small bras are pointelss and offer nothing in the way of support. This is cheap to engineer!

I'm a 30G and shop almost exclusively at Bravissimo now. If you feel their prices are too expensive, check out their sales (run regulalry). You pay for what you get. Cheap doesn't equal value when in comes to the larger chest - unless you want a lifetime of back problems, knee-knockers etc.

Don't know about the others but with Bravissimo you can call in the shop and be measured on the spot if they're not busy. If they are you can generally make an appointment for within the hour while you shop elsewhere or sit around in their waiting room with a magazine.

Yes you have to be topless at some point, but it's not embarrassing (and I'm a proper prude, lol). They ask what size you're wearing now while they look at the way your own bra fits. Then they toddle off and return with 2 or 3 different styles for you to try. The fitting lady waited outside the room for me and only came back in when I asked her to.

I think they're brilliant at Bravissimo and very knowledgeable but the prices are quite high. Pick your style, take note of the code number on the label and shop elsewhere (http://www.lingerie-heaven.com/ has some lovely stock, many at clearance prices).

Don't panic, the only time I was topless was when I was alone in the changing room, going from one bra to another :D
