  • unfortunately not, they're pretty hard to come by!
May I ask what it is about underwires you find difficult? we may be able to suggest something, who knows!
  • Baby shoes, can you say why you do not get on with underwires, it could be a number of reasons - PM me if you prefer not to say on here, wearing the wrong size will be very uncomfortable and so this could be why you do not get on with them (this could go back to you being sized incorrectly). There are hardly any bras without wires in that come in funky styles, but I can get a black or pink one with white polka dots by Freya if that is of any help.

Libby - Debenhams should give you a good fitting bra as long as they have a good choice. You sound like you need an underwired bra, many ladies of your size and shape wear Superboost bras as they lift everything back up into place, you can remove the padding so you do not have so much lift and cleavage if this worries you - but wear the right size else you'll have 4 boobs. Also another good range is Panache Atlantis but look for the ones with the lightweight pads - it is called a T-shirt bra, style 4046, but lifts you by an extra cup size. Tell me where you live in Essex and I'll point you in the right direction, there is a nice place in Colchester - or you could come to me if you want. Again, PM me if you want more details. How does the bra you are wearing fit and where do you live?

Blue monkey, I think I've bought from your ebay shop before! It was a while ago, though.

  • Libby, if you can;'t get to bluemonkey then I would try debenhams, the fitting service in my local is certainly pretty good now. I'd also familiarise yourself with some of the online bra fitting guides ( I know you aren't a d+, but bravissimo have quite a good guide on their website) so that you know what a good bra should feel like. Also, don't be afraid to try going down a back size to get the right fit (if you do, go up in the cup to compensate)

Smaller ladies need good bras too - I think bigger girls just moan about it more because if we get it wrong it's downright painful!!

my daughters have similar problems as OP but seem to do well at Le Senza -a good colour range and matching undies which they are very particular about!

If OP is above a DD (unless their size range has changed) La Senza etc. aren't going to be much good.

I'd recommend trying TK Maxx, or if you know the size you are and brands that fit well, eBay. But it is worth buying one more expensive bra that fits well rather than three which don't really.

Bluemonkey, do you only sell on eBay? I need to replace my 'everyday' bras and can't afford three at full price right now. At the moment I have some two year old R+P bras which are looking a bit grubby. I have the feeling I've changed size since then because they don't feel supportive at all.

right I'm going to jump into this thread representing all us 'smaller' ladies!
I have bra issues too and I'm an A cup - approx 34 back.
I say approx as I have nowhere in my town that does reliable bra measurements. I lost a fair amount of weight in the last year (golf balls in socks spring to mind) and know i am not wearing the right bra to achieve anything with what i am left with.
we have m & s and debenhams in our town - in east anglia - does anyone have any siggestions of where in essex i could go to get a proper measurement?

(sorry if there is too much info in the description of my breasts!)

Both M&S and Debenhams usually offer a measuring service.

I am 36 years old and always been an AA; despite putting on three stone in weight I am still an AA! M&S have just this year started offering AA's in the adults section, previously you could only get them in kids bras which often came in pastel colours or had Snoopy on!! :o Also why do so many companies underwire AA bras, I have nothing to hold up and it's just uncomfortable.

And to anyone who thinks I don't need a bra - I wear white t-shirts/ shirts too, and I work in a gym with air conditioning ...

:) I hope you was pleased with whatever you bought.

I do not have a shop on eBay any longer, I have my website now and just sell from there - I can offer better prices as I am not paying their eBay fees. I used to pay around £500 a month on fees before adding Paypal fees on (obviously lots of sizes and styles) but since they put their prices up I'd have had to pay £2000 in listing fees at 20p an item. Just ridicuous. So now I just have the website.
