  • oh yes we have.glad you replied as i didn't want to be the first to reply! Run away from the m and s bras! I have two, which are as close to the right size as possible, and they are dreadful. Really poor quality. They are pretty, but they are for, ahem, dressing up only. I really wish more women would go and get a proper fitting and accept that good quality well fitting bras are worth spending a little more on. Apart from anything, it's generally very slimming and makes clothes look much better.

My experience with bras is that you get what you pay for.

The earlier suggestion that you be measured in Bravissimo (or similar) and then buy the bra on eBay is a good one. I've done this in the past.

Absolutely, the bras you get in Bravissimo you can get elsewhere, the tip is to google the code you get on the bra label - Bravissimo give the bras their own 'number' but all of their bras you can get elsewhere. When you look at the label it will have a code, google this. If you want to know what style a bra is post the pic or link here and I shall tell you the code to look for.

In Fantasie/Elomi/Goddess/Fauve/R&P it will end in 2 letters which you can disregard - this is the colour code (WE is White, IV is Ivory, etc...) and Freya bras have the same code at the end but some will start with AA - again, you can disregard this bit.

Google the code and you'll find the same bras for less - and postage is usually cheaper as Bravissimo P&P is one of the most expensive (there is a price to pay for the posh box it arrives in)!! ;) Take a pen and paper and write the code down, if you are worried what they might think tell them that hubby/bf wants to buy you a set so you want to tell him what to buy and in what size and make sure you like it and it fits!! ;)

Just be careful with Fantasie and Freya cheap on eBay as some of them are from the Factory shop and so are seconds - these will be the one with a ripped, torn out or a marked label, they will be seconds for a reason and a good seller will tell you what the second is.

Bet you are all checking your bra labels now!!

I love Brastop! I decided I needed a new white/nude bra on Monday, and ended up buying 3 which were delivered today.

right I'm going to jump into this thread representing all us 'smaller' ladies!
I have bra issues too and I'm an A cup - approx 34 back.
I say approx as I have nowhere in my town that does reliable bra measurements. I lost a fair amount of weight in the last year (golf balls in socks spring to mind) and know i am not wearing the right bra to achieve anything with what i am left with.
we have m & s and debenhams in our town - in east anglia - does anyone have any siggestions of where in essex i could go to get a proper measurement?

(sorry if there is too much info in the description of my breasts!)

Has anyone had any luck finding non-wired bras in big sizes (DD cup) that don't look like granny bras? I would love to be able to wear some of those fantastic funky brightly coloured bras that only seem to come in underwired. Unfortunately, I have found through trial and error that underwires simply don't work for me so I always buy non-wired.

The best I have found so far are M&S with a few lacy bras in their 'firm support' range that come in exciting colours such as black, beige, white and pale pink... I think there was a lilac one once too. How sexy and trendy - not! I also don't much like too much lace (a little as a trim is fine), so generally end up with plain white or black cotton ones. Perfectly practical, but sometimes you want to wear something fun... I would be willing to pay a bit more for such a bra, as I would continue to wear the plain ones at £20ish each for everyday.

Has anyone else found this same problem or am I a bit unusual?
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!
