Game offering decent trade in for new slim ps3

Just been into Game locally and ordered a new PS3 slim. They are doing various trade ins but I know if you have either the 60/80gb version you can get £125 towards the new one, which is half price. A bargain in my eyes. They are also doing various other trade ins as well against a new slim.:j:j

What are the other trade ins they are doing?
I think £125 for my 'fatty' PS3 traded against the slim one is awful value. You could get much more than £125 for it elsewhere!

i wouldnt trade in my ps3 for a slimmer version of the same machine seems abit pointless to me
  • Why trade in a PS3 fat version for the new slim one? It has no new gizmo's and if you have a 60GB version then you would never get rid of it as it's backwards compatable with PS2!
  • Plus you will easily get more than £125 for a 60Gb PS3 on e-bay!

Seconded. Bargain, well and trully not. CEX are offering £140 cash and £180 credit for 80GB. You can't obviously put that towards a new one until they get the new one's in.

Been looking what used PS3's have been going for and they are selling at under £200.

I might just keep my fat one considering the cut that Ebay, Royal Mail and Paypal will take.

Firstly I'd like to point out that I don't work for Game. The value second hand is not that good for them so thought this was a genuine good deal and decided to pass my finding on, as I thought that was what this forum is all about. I see some very ridiculous postings on here and don't make comments, and I make rare contributions and hope when I do they are of use to someone.

I'm all for others finding better deals but making stupid comments about opticians?? If you're happy with your 'fat' PS3 then fine that is good, maybe someone will find my post useful. I won't bother again

Its easily done, i've got about 40gb of photos alone on my 250gb, have also got loads of films and tv shows on it, regret not getting a bigger HD as i'm not sure i have room for my MP3's.
