How to get to Heaven from Ireland

I was testing children in my Dublin Sunday school class to see if they
understood the concept of getting to heaven.

I asked them, 'If I sold my house and my car, had a big jumble sale and
gave all my money to the church, would that get me into heaven?'

    'NO!' the children answered.

'If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the garden, and kept everything
tidy, would that get me into heaven?'

Again, the answer was 'No!' By now I was starting to smile.

' Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave sweeties to all the children,
and loved my husband, would that get me into heaven?'

Again, they all answered 'No!'. I was just bursting with pride for them.

I continued, ' Then how can I get into heaven?'

A six year-old boy shouted out 'YUV GOTTA BE F*KN' DEAD..........'

    Mornin all

My PAD for today is £3.50

Bad day yesterday but funnily I don't feel down..............the car cost £325 not £230, new tyre and fan belt bumped it up but I had just enough to pay for it :T Thanks in no small part to this thread:heart2:

Update on the g*t at work...........I have not seen him since the day after it all went bad till yesterday. I kept out of the way but he walked in on me talking to a colleague (work/tax related) He butted in and demanded to know what I was doing, his manner was not too bad but the colleague was so appalled that he stepped in and defended me (bless him) Later he came into my office and had a go at me for potentially mixing up work from different clients!!! I pointed out that would never happen and his reply was "on your head be it" before storming out. I spoke to the office manager (correct channels) and warned her that the next complaint I make would be in writing as per ACAS advice, tbh she was not surprised and was livid with him and spoke to him straight away. He then came back and referred to the incident in front of the colleague but not the later one. The colleague who defended me said he felt that the g*t was going to attack me at any moment and that is major for me because this colleague is not one for interpruting "innuendo" or "atmospheres, hope that makes sense :rotfl:I do feel that now this guy has gone a little too far in front of others which will help me in the long run :j It will be only a matter of time before he looses his temper big time at me in front of everyone:D

    Hi Sue
He sounds like he's in need of serious psychiatric help!
You are obviously brilliant and well liked at work, so good for you that your colleagues are rallying round.
You sound like you're very strong now and by talking about ACAS at work, it will send him a warning that you're not to be messed with!:T
(Otherwise Rent-A-Mob WILL be paying him a visit  - and he wouldn't want that!)

Sorry about the car bill! But it's cheaper to get the timing belt now than let it snap!!! Happened to my mate = new engine, ouch!
I'm waiting for my bill with baited breath :o - til then I'm swanning around in my parent's car! But soon like Cinderella the magic spell will wear off and I'll be back in the pumpkin once again!:rotfl:

Paddy wants a job, but the foreman won't hire him until he passes a little
    maths test.

" Here is your first question" the foreman said. "Without using numbers,
    represent the number 9."

"Without numbers?" Paddy says "Dat's easy." And proceeds to draw three
    trees.

    "What's this?" the boss asks.

"Have you no brain? Tree and tree plus tree makes 9" says Paddy

"Fair enough," says the boss. "Here's your second question. Use the same
rules, but this time the number is 99."

Paddy stares into space for a while, then picks up the picture that he has
just drawn and makes a smudge on each tree... "Ere ye go."

The boss scratches his head and says, "How on earth do you get that to
    represent 99?"

"Each of them trees is dirty now. So, it's dirty tree, and dirty tree, plus
    dirty tree. Dat makes 99."

The boss is getting worried that he's going to actually have to hire Paddy,
so he says, "All right, last question. Same rules again, but represent the
    number 100."

Paddy stares into space some more, then he picks up the picture again and makes a little mark at the base of each tree and says, "Ere ye go. One hundred."

The boss looks at the attempt. "You must be nuts if you think that
    represents a hundred!"

Paddy leans forward and points to the marks at the base of each tree and
whispers, "A little dog came along and pooped by each tree.

So now you got dirty tree and a turd, dirty tree and a turd, and dirty tree
and a turd, which makes ONE HUNDRED!"

    Paddy is the new supervisor.
