  • Hi, I've just called MBNA and the answer is that this months statement was calculated based on a 32-day cycle as opposed to the last couple of previous months both being based on 29-day cycles?! So the extra £15 is because of the extra 3 days. So I guess its just an unlucky month..!

    Grrr...
Feels like a setback to me. :(
  • Second PaD for me today following change from lunch / buying stamps.

(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)
  • Small PAD today of £2.38.

I'm really annoyed. I discovered today that the interest rates on my credit card all went up in September, and they didn't even inform me. 5% extra on BT and P and 2.4% on cash - now 19.9% and 24.9% respectively. Furious isn't the word. I'm even more determined to pay the b**tard off now. VULTURES!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Hi everyone,

Thanks Euronorris for the advice on the euros - I couldn't find anyone who was going abroad and there was nothing on skyscanner - the problem is there were four of us going, the ferry crossing is only a fiver each and the accommodation would have been free, so we'd only budgeted for the petrol! Flights were coming up at over £100 for the two of us and then we'd have had to find accomodation, so we decided to cut our losses and I've just changed them back. So much for being organised and getting things done it advance! :rotfl:

Pandapaws, glad you've figured it out - the same happened to me earlier this year and I actually posted on the CC board here asking about it - I just couldn't figure out how the minimum payment could have increased when I'd done nothing but pay down the balance for the past few months! Now that I don't spend on the card, I just give the statements a cursory glance to make sure nothing is wrong and then ignore. Just keep padding lol.

Talking of padding - I'll do mine in a bit because I can't get on internet banking

    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

    hello!

been a bit hit and miss getting on the laptop this week, been busy. this thread moves so fast, too!

returned a chest of drawers to argos so 2nd lot of interest free credit is now less. we made do with the one we already had for DS2's room. :j

PAD of 10.00 to boy's savings accounts (a fiver each). we have put a few purchases on our M&S card recently, and as we pay it off each month this has left me with less to PAD. so i've paid about 450 to that card this month, but i don't count that in my PADs as it's used like a debit card - i just like to get the points for free knickers :o !
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A
