    QUESTION FOR PARENTS...

Do cartoons affect your kids' behaviour??

    Hope you've all had a fab! x

When our LO was younger, we had to stop him from watching Scooby Doo too soon before his bedtime. We realised when he did, he had bad dreams.

We also used to limit the amount of Power Rangers he could watch (my friends did the same) as we found they hadn't quite fathomed the fighting wasn't real and their play was a bit over boisterous!

In general i've avoided Batman, transformers etc as they just seem too 'dark' - not like in the good old days lol :D

What sort of things does your little girl like to watch?

I can't find any cheap flights anywhere, but I don't want to just waste my money by changing it straight back into pounds :( unless there's a of geting a 'refund' can't imagine there is though.

Have you tried skyscanner.net for checking out flight prices? I know there is a tool on here too, but I find skyscanner a little easier to navigate.

If you change the Euro's back now, you will make a loss, but then, we don't know what's going to happen to the exchange rate. Sometimes, one day can make a big difference.

The best solution I can offer is to ask around and see if any of your friends are going away soon. Perhaps they will buy the Euro's from you at a reasonable rate?

Check out www.oanda.com for the latest exchange rates. Although, please note that these are not 'commercial' rates, ie, you'll get a worse deal in the shops.

Oh, also. Sometimes, it can be cheaper to get a ferry or eurostar across the channel and then catch a connecting train to Germany.

It depends on how far in advance it is though, and if they are any special deals on. Worth checking out though as you may find a ferry crossing for a tenner or something.

Word of warning, do not travel the entire way by coach. I tried this from NL to UK once. It was 11 hours of hell!. Very, very cheap, but it was just awful. My back was agony by the end of it!
