A Payment A Day Part 5

Hi guys,
May I ask..
How do you actually make these payments to your credit card? The idea of paying a bit off each day sounds fab, but I have an online bank account that doesn't let m pay change in to the bank (they scowled at me a lot when I tried to pay in a bag of 20p's!!), so how do you do it? Do you physically go and pay in what you can, or is it a case of putting some money in a jar til the end of the month...?
Thanks
Hi Toni,
everyone does it differently. I personally round my current account down every morning to the nearest £5 and make an instant payment to my credit card. Some people put all their spare change in a tin and then bank it every week/month, and some people physically take their cash to the bank.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Hello folks.
£108.20 to the Capital One. The min payment is now only twenty five quid on this - can't believe it used to be £140 at worst ! - I topped it up to near old levels of payment .
Cap1 now sits at £560. Whoop whoop.:j Going to PAD this down to £500 then leave it ticking over at min payments plus a few quid for a while. Reason being HSBC have hiked my interest to an extortionate 27% (vs Cap1's 22%) so I will be changing tack next month and target 3 will be revealed - I have £7k on the HSBC so a long road ahead!
I think I should be able to get a 0% deal to BT the HSBC at the back end of the year - had to wait for my credit rating to repair itself but almost there. Meantime, I will attack the HSBC "vigorously" (love that word) and save some interest.
Sorry - rambling and writing my action plan.....lol....
Have a great day all !

HSBC did this to me earlier this year aswell. Put the interest to 23% then about 2 weeks later up to 27% so i feel your pain!! Good luck in attacking it!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

:rotfl:
Dave and his buddies were hanging out and planning an upcoming fishing trip.
Unfortunately, he had to tell them that he couldn't go this time because his wife wouldn't let him. After a lot of teasing and name calling, Dave headed home frustrated.
The following week when Dave's buddies arrived at the lake they were shocked to see Dave. He was already sitting on the dock, fishing rod in hand and refreshment in hand...
His buddies asked, "How did you talk your missus into letting you go Dave?"
Dave replied "Last night I came home and slumped down in my chair with a beer to drown my sorrows thinking how much I wanted to go fishing. Then the ol'lady snuck up behind me and covered my eyes and said, "Surprise".
When I peeled her hands back she was standing there in a beautiful see through negligee and she said, "Carry me into the bedroom and tie me to the bed and you can do whatever you want".
SO I DID AND HERE I AM!
Pad for today is £40 to cap1 cc, £20 to Kays and £1 to sealed tin

Sainsburys have just jacked mine up to around 20+%. This is in addition to reducing my credit limit (again) to about £500 more than I owe them. I suppose it's just as well that the 7+ grand I owe them is on a reasonable LOB deal.
I keep getting mixed messages from them. Once in a while they chop my limit down and around the same time they offer something like 6 or 7% LOB. If they follow this pattern again, I will max out the spare few hundred to reduce the cost of a higher interest debt.
My Tesco card seems a bit more friendly. It's always had a much lower limit but they offer me deals whenever I phone them.
Maybe I'll ask Asda for one as well LOL.0 -

Ooh thats not fair you need to confess asap
Love the joke :T:T
£10 for me to the 0% card fund its starting to add up I will be using it to clear the balance of my HSBC card after I have BT the rest to OH Capital One (thank you Capital One for writing with a new 12 month 0% offer just at the right time :T). Then I'll be saving to reduce the large balance on OH's MBNA card before I BT the rest in December - so I do have a plan just hope it all works out.

Hopefully will get a nice 0% deal in November. I shall be lodging my OD charges claim and switching my HSBC current account (and nice new salary payments) to a new bank later in the year as a one man protest! :mad:Debt Free 25th August 2010 with PAD !!TARGETS ::D

Oh your not in your protest alone!! OH and i are in the middle of transferring all our stuff to another bank - unfortunatly the credit card will be stuck with them as we dont have great credit rating, but we have just moved out current account and ISA. I think they regretted asking me why we were moving to another bank :rotfl:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
