I have got our new budget sorted, but its been delayed as they messed up OHs transfer at work and took him off the payroll so he wont get paid until Friday now - hes suppossed to be paid every Friday but we've missed a couple of weeks.

Things are going well with his parents - i have always got on with them anyway but i was worried about living with them. His mum loves having me around - as like her im a bit of a cleanliness freak, where as his brother and sister are really messy. To be honest dont see an awful lot of his dad as he works quite long hours. Its almost like its just me and his mum living there as OH and his dad always seem to be working!
but fingers crossed everything is going well! And i feel so much more relaxed knowing i dont have to worry about bills etc just give them our rent every week and thats it.

It's good that things are going well for you Flower, are you still hoping that you'll be out by xmas?

OH is, but to be honest i dont particularly mind! We would be spending christmas day with his family anyway - my mum doesnt really do christmas and no doubt will be abroad somewhere!
If it meant we could have an extra few hundred pounds as a security blankett i wouldnt mind staying there until after christmas. I just really dont want to get into a situation again where we cant afford the bills and start relying on credit again.
His parents have already said as long as we keep paying rent we can stay as long as we like - and i know they wouldnt just say that. They are the type of people who would say if they didnt want us there anymore!!

We've agreed we'll see how much debt we have paid off etc by November then decide what we want to do.

Hi All, I have a question which may sound a bit daft but here goes ...

How do you make the overpayments ? Do you get extra payment slips for credit cards etc or do you pay online direct from your bank accounts. I would rather pay separately, if I put my PaD money in my bank account all my hard work PaDing will be mixed up in the general bill payment money and it will disappear:eek:

I pad mine straight from my current account (in bulk then divide it by 7 days as my cc takes too long to update with my balance and I'm trying to save a few pence on interest! :)) so I know how much is in there everyday. I think some people put money into jars/pots/mugs to save up and pay in a lump sum.

    I have three accounts :o

One for bills, one for spends and one for PAD :D Anything that I think I can spare from Spends goes to PAD!

Also, for those keeping track of the laptop adventure, I have sold some shares today so should have £160ish coming through soon which is nearly half the cost of it. I would really like to pay for it all in a month (Spot the challenge addict!)

  • Good afternoon all... It's getting close to pay day and current account funds are running dangerously low. But unfortunately I had 2 x £2 coins in my change along with some 20ps. Now part of me wants to have money left just before pay day, but the other part of me that has signed up to challenges (20p saver, £2 saver, loose change pays my debt and of course PaD) doesn't want to break my MSE mentality.

So I've decided to be a good girl and PaD my change. £4.85 :A
