Great news Euro, What a nice Mummy and Daddy you have.
Mac girl, if you need a new car, you need one, not much you can do about it, I tend to try not to stress about the things I need and concentrate on the wants that I waste my money on.
Get the best you can afford, and we will all set up that pyramid sytem and I promise you can go second!!:D
I really love everyone's attitude on this thread, your all so positive its really infectious and is helping me so so much!!!
Im even starting to be positive for other people, see above.:D
Well Jo just £4.49 today but thats all cool its coming down nicely.
Prob would of been more but my other half fell over in Tesco's when we were doing the food shopping and before this I was being so focused on getting our shop below £40 and after I had made sure she and my 3 year old who she was holding where ok, going beserk at the manager asking why they had the contents of the river chelmer in the chiller aisle and two poxy cones pushed right to the side of the aisle to warn people and having a go at some snooty shop assistant who was being so rude about my little boy having an accident in aisle 8 i just lost track and ended up spending well over £50.!!!!!!. All ok though.
Major butterflys by the way, baby will be here Friday week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ooh hope your lovely lady is OK TIFTK?!
That's very scary at her stage. Make sure she has her feet up - you can do the shopping with DS in future!
Thanks for the wise words about the car. I've had confirmation today that The Shed is indeed DEAD.
I wouldn't be so bothered had I not this huge debt already.
Anyway, now I just need to decide how I finance it. I reckon I'll need to borrow £10K to get a decent car that will last longer than the loan period.
Part of me would rather lease it then if things F*** up, I can just hand the keys back and walk away.
I know that's not very :money: though. Will have to apply online tonight and then get round the garages on Friday, as I need one pronto.
Good news on the loan Euro! :T
Hope your first day at school went well Danko - did you make some new friends?!!:D
Hope DD enjoyed her first day too DT - I'd love to be doing that again!0 -
OMG Green I nearly weed myself at that joke! Just tickled me haha. For all you farmers (yes I am well and truely addicted too) I am now level 9! Yay! And I grow lots of soybeans because they are cheapish with a resonable return and you get 2xp lol.
Thanks Angelic for the advice, I am gonna sit and have a bit of a chat with him I think. I'm fed up of us not being able to do stuff as a couple because he can't afford it, whereas I could afford it for me but not both of us!
Danko hope your first day at uni went well!
Well my PAD today is only 51p because I am skinted. I'm also shattered again but really ought to go to the gym, I now that once I can get back into it I'll have more energy and motivation but it's just a case of getting to that point. During the holidays I've been going in the morning, but now I'm back at work I need to come home and eat first, then wait for dinner to go down, and by the time it gets to that stage I can't be bothered to go back out again! (I'd rather be playing on my farm hehe)

It's all about compromise (my word of the week!) and if he sees that's it's affecting you then he might support you a bit more.
Maybe offer him a choice eg. buy food at work and go without take-aways for a month or take a packed lunch everyday but you can still buy a bottle of juice?
Good luck with whatever you decide to say and I hope it works itself out!

Evening all. Hope everyone is OK.
Great news Euro! What nice parents! Congrats to everyone plugging away at the PADs, every little last one helps on the debt free road.
Well, I decided to PAD only £1 today. To be honest I could have padded more but holding a reserve fund for two weeks of hols just in case of the unexpected (like the AI food being hideous meaning food spends; or a dodgy case of sunburn, tummy trouble needing docs etc...would hate to go with no cash back-up whatsover)
When I get back should have some spare to PAD.
Last day at work in the "old" job Wednesday...hope I get a pressie! Long stretch between paydays is another reason for low PADs but all will come good in the end!
