I'm not a prude by any means........... but taking a walk in the countryside is a little different to walking in town - trying to avoid drunken idiots who can't find a loo, getting their willies out and peeing up a lamp post or whatever. That is something I really do not want to see or smell.
I'd cut them off if I had the chance..........Genie

Since no-one uses public telephones anymore, maybe phone boxes should be converted into urinals

I think peeing in the street is disgusting, you were in the wrong, I would just pay up and learn from the mistake personally.
Plating Devil's advocate now - there are times when you can be caught short and if you are not in the center of town then you generally have zero chance of finding a public lav.
At the end of the day - if the choice is pee in the street (obviously finding somewhere out of sight) or pee myself I know which one I am going to do0 -
